how long do I wait to call the vet. I have one on call, or I could just take her in first thing in the morning.

AFTER EACH PUPPY A PLACENTA COMES OUT. BEFORE THE NEXT ONE IS DELIVERD, THE PLACENTA HAS TO COME OUT. SHE PROBABLY JUST ATE IT SO QUICK YOU DIDNT NOTICE. BUT IF YOU STILL BELIEVE THAT SHE HAS RETAINED THEM, I WOULD TAKE HER TO THE VET. OTHERWISE, IT WILL BECOME INFECTED AND YOU WILL LOSE HER AND THE PUPS

l would take her to the vet straight away, in a human retained placenta is very dangerous.

Did you use dog oxytocin at the end of delivery? If not, get the on call vet to see her right away.

No, call an emergency vet now. She could be hemorrhaging.
