YOU SHOULD COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. A NON-BARKING CHIHUAHUA IS RARE, AND YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY FOR THIS. BUT IF YOU ARE REALLY SET ON GETTING HER TO BARK TRY THIS: TAKE A PIECE OF CHEESE OR A TREAT AND GET HER EXCITED. SWING IT ABOVE HER HEAD AND SAY SPEAK. YOU MAY NEED TO REPEAT IT NUMEROUS TIMES BUT THE MINUTE SHE MAKES A SOUND, EVEN A SQUEAK, REWARD HER. EVENTUALLY SHE'LL CONNECT THE SOUND SHE MAKES WITH A TREAT AND THE WORD SPEAK. HOPE THIS HELPS. BUT EVEN IF SHE DOESNT BARK, IT DOESNT MEAN SHE IS UNHAPPY. MORE LIKELY IT MEANS SHE IS HAPPY, SINCE SHE IS CALM SUBMISSIVE

Well I don't know why you'd want a dog to bark like other small dogs, but your problem is because the dog is probably nervous and intimidated. Many small breeds have this problem, but it usually comes up as continuous uncontrolled barking, attacking other dogs, people, etc. Try socializing her first with smaller dogs so she doesn't feel threatened. If she just won't learn to bark, it's due to some other problem other than her just not being able to learn. When you walk, purposely pass other dogs and make her look up and not try to run away when she's with them. She'll eventually learn that she's got nothing to be afraid of.

Thats normal. Some are more hyper than others. I know my chihuahua only barked when the doorbell rang or when she saw strangers or other dogs. Then she use to just sit on a pillow and quiver. She is still an awesome dog though. Dogs have different personalities so just learn what she likes.

Your daughter and son just MOVED. That caused them stress, and the puppies are reacting to that stress. Have your daughter and grandson feed them irresistable treat meals, through hand for a couple of days. Cooked chook invariably works for me....They would walk over sizzling coals for it. Additionally, take some long walks, together with your new family "%". Letting the puppies browse round, taking your time, like you're "searching" collectively. With a purpose to support the puppies get a way of each person being "p.C.". Also, when your puppies bark, tell your daughter to yawn...You do it too, and appear away, and even turn your back or slightly turn away out of your daughter and son in regulation.. That is a signal that says , i am so secure, I could just take a nap of their presence. If the puppies bark aggressively and strengthen, you just put your hands on your hips, and block them bodily along with your body at the same time you say sssshhh NO, and step towards the dog. Permitting them to be aware of, that you are blocking such habits. Your shy shaky one will get better, when the anxiety she's so sensative to, slows down. You would give her some Nature's Sunshine "distress comfort" flower essesnces drops.... Which you can get them at most health food stores I believe there's a line to the NS website on my websites.. That you may additionally watch the dog Whisperer, Cesar Milan's movies, he's nice at getting persons and puppies to appreciate. I'm founder of SugarNSpice Chihuahuas, and i have 12 grandkids and new baby chihuahuas in general... And others in for boarding , show or breeding. So I thoroughly get your problems. When you've got extra questions that you may electronic mail me from my profile, or name me from my website. It must simmer down in a few days to every week, and your elevated family will likely be "old news" . In ninety days the dogs could have forgotten they ever failed to are living there. Revel in having your grandson and daughter !!! Your dogs will learn to.
