i took him swimming in a lake today and before we left he puked up some chunky yellow stuff. then when we got home he spit up/puked just clear stuff about 4 times. i tried to give him a piece of bread with peanut butter (his absolute fave) but he just looked at it and layed around and finally took a nap. what's his deal??

I remember whenever i was sad to the point of crying he would come find me and wag his tail and lick me. I love him so much. now he can't stand up on his own. he will not get up again. im sitting here with him. he isn't going to be here much longer. I don't know what else to say.

Bernadette Hutcherson, 19, was walking the 6 week old yellow Labrador retriever on a leash with some friends Sunday in the 1700 block of 28th Avenue.

Police say that for some reason, the dog angered Hutcherson, who began kicking it, causing it to flip over several times. She then picked the dog up and slammed its head into the pavement at least twice.

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/215768829
Animal cruelty charges can be either a misdemeanor or a felony. In this case the Alameda County District Attorney's Office (CA) charged Hutcherson with a felony because of the incident's vicious nature and Hutcherson's intent to kill, authorities said.

Since this petition has caused so much controversy I would like to state first and foremost that the dog used on the show was not a pit bull. This petition never stated that it was a pit bull, and the title of this petition does not state that it was a pit bull. You can see a picture of the dog here: http://www.nbc.com/Fear_Factor/gross/621_canine_attack.shtml

Everyone calling this petition slander towards pit bulls is completely missing the point. Whether the dog was a pit bull or not, 99% of the people that saw the show are going to assume that it was. Pit bulls were the target and pit bulls are the ones that will be most affected!
Read what this petition is really about before you make complaints.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This isn't about cruelty, this is about the negative portrayal of pit bulls and other misunderstood breeds. Fear Factor and NBC are in poor taste airing that program when there is such a spotlight on

I have a Shap pei. She is very friendly with me and my hubby. However I have seen her shy away from strangers. She's still friendly but wary. Is this normal in this breed?

My husband and I are planning on getting a doberman puppy soon. I love the look of cropped ears on dobermans but I just can't get over that it can be a painful experience for them. I try to relate it to baby boys getting circumcised but I would still feel rotten for putting my puppy through that. Please send me some solid advice for why or why not I should go through with it...if you are a Vet, please say so.

Thanks!

I am considering adopting a teacup or tiny toy poodle close to the end of this year. My boyfriend's aunt just came back from visiting family in Mexico and she brought back one of these little pups. He is so adorable and playful. I just want to know if it is safe to buy the pup over there the same way she did because with the money exchange rate it is ALOT cheaper over there...Does anybody know any breeders in California? I am going to compare Breeders online but I just wanted some input from other people who have possibly purchased one in mexico or in California. Please don't tell me there is no such thing as a teacup poodle because I have seen them, and they are not sickly or unhealthy. I am scared of big dogs and I live in an apartment so a smaller dog fits into my lifestyle better. Thanks for any input!

I was just in a car accident and we(my family) lost all of our animals in the accident. It's really depressing for us, especially since we've lived with animals all our life. But no one else but me wants to have to go through the trouble of taking care of a dog with everything else that we're going thriugh right now. We're thinking we might get a cat because they're easy to take care of. But they're not as playful, as active, or as loving as dogs are. If I could find the right dog for our family I know we could himand have that extra special love, and comfort in our lives we once had.

My dog has been showing some strange symptoms including crying..

He stays in the same spot(he usually sits with my dad)..everytime we go near him, especially his stomach, he gets aggresive and tries to bite... Furthermore, he keeps crying on and off...

I am going to the vet tomorrow, but am extremly worried..has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks in advance...

I know its on Msn... But can dogs really be workaholics??

My A.P.B.T certainly isnt but I know somebodys Border collie and Border terrier who do plenty of work .

Do they do it because they like it or forced into it? Or is it because it is in their breed genetics?
