He doesn't know the rules for living with you yet, and he doesn't speak your language. You have to communicate the house rules to him in a way he will understand - like reward him when he does something good, or push his butt to the floor when you say "sit". You can check a book on dog training out from the library, or get your parents to buy one for you.

it mainly depends on the breed of dog so u should train him and see how it turns and it does not matter if ur going into the 5th grade cause im going into the 7th grade and i have not been taught a thing about dogs other than their cells in science

You need to train him. You just got him, you can't expect him to be perfect like all the dogs in movies. The dogs in movies were trained by perfessionals that cost like 1,000,000 dollars.

The best thing you can do for your pet is make sure he or she gets lots of exercise. It is recommeded for high energy dogs to have one hour on a walk a day.

going to schoolo does not make you intelligent .it only means that you are taught to use some of you brain ,wether or not you use your teachings is another matter,
try being nice to the dog .give it cookies and be friendly .take it slowly .pretend you are a dog your self and try to see things from his point of vieuw.
