we just got this dog from a friend of my mom. He is a about 2 years old, not neutered yet.. he stays with my family and my boyfriend. he sometimes is friendly and sometimes not. when i was at work and my boyfriend called me and told that the dog bit him without provoking him. First, he pissed in the house so my bf made him go to his cage (his punishment territory). After his punishment he gave him some "GREENIES" i guess he coouldn't digest it and threw up outside of my brother's room and under my bed where he usually sleeps. When my brother tried to clean that messed he then attempted to bite my brother. Then my bf tried to clean the mess under my bed and said " SEE WHAT YOU DID?" without provoking him or hitting him..suddenly he snacht at my bf. luckily it was just a scrape on his skin. WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH this dog?? also he always growls at my brother and when my brother comes home he would bark at him and growls at him. when under my bed he thinks he is "THE KING"

My dog (he's a great dane) acts like a real idiot most of the time. When he does something really stupid, sometimes I become so enraged, I can't help but put the fear of God in him with a good beating. Yesterday, my wife and kids were gone, and I got so mad, I jumped on top of him and flipped him to his back, and just started raining terror down on him with both fists. I must have been yelling pretty loud too, because when I looked up, I saw my neighbor looking at me over the fence. He turned and ran, and I'm worried he's going to turn me in. What should I do?!?!?

I think its the owners fault, any dog can bite.

Some people are telling me that it is healthier for a dog to first have a litter of puppies then get neutered. I'm really not too keen on my dog having puppies..they're cute but alot of mess and work involved. I would rather just have her neutered. What do you think? Will she still live a long life?

I want them to be social and get along with each other. I have tried many different activities to make them like each other. I need some new ideas on how to socialize them to a point of liking each other...any suggestions?

I want to get papers for my purebread American Bulldog. His father has his papers but the breeder didn't get the mother's. The mother's parents were registered. Does anyone know a way around this. He was free so I don't want to bother them.

i can not believe they are going to sacrify 500.000 dogs. how can they do that. is that the only way out, can they save those animals? why in this world we have to live lake that, why hurt so many dogs. why kill them, if people have died is because they don't take good care of their pets, they should vaccinete them. it doesn't cost that much? i hate reading those news.

I know that they are insane little beasties but my son wants one. I've been reading up on them. I wanted the opinions of those who have had or currently own a beagle.

I've recently met my across-the-street-neighbors, and they have 3 pitbulls and a yorkie. 2 are puppies and stay in a kennel together. They're nice... But the blue pit they have (Haze) is acting weird. When I first ,met him, I was in their yard and he was tied up. I carefully approached and let him meet me the right way. I did Cesar Millan's techniques. After a lil' while, he was alright with me, but he's VERY intimidating... But today, I went to my other friend's house who lives right next door to them and when I went by him and looked at him through the fence, he ducked low and lunged at the fence (at me) and barked, growled, and snarled viciously, non-stop. He wouldn't settle down and I tried standing up to him and acting like I'm not afraid, and that didn't work. I also tried to just ignore him while walking by the fence, but he still barked just as feircely... What is it that I did wrong? I didn't look him in the eyes or anything, so why might he have acted this way suddenly?

Why is it that people start screaming and answering "answers having nothing to do with the question or statement at hand" BEFORE THE READ THE ENTIRE FREAKING STORY?

MY PET IS NOT SICK, I DO NOT NEED A VET FOR ANY REASON, I POSTED MY POST TO HELP THOSE WHO MAY FIND THEMSELVES IN AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION SOMETIMES. IF YOU READ IT ALL, YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT.
(For all the folks who need a vet, and can't afford one...?)

Sheesh!

Besides, it's not like they wouln't HAVE to pay sooner or later!
You are fighting and screaming at something you didn't READ in it's entirety!
