Well, Labs are extremely popular pretty much everywhere, but the most popular type of dog is most likely just a mutt. Most dogs in the common household are mixed-breeds or a "Heinz 57" (meaning the dog is a little of everything). Hope this helps.

i see a lot of pit bulls and labs in gainesville, fl. we have a siberian and i see some others, but they are not a good breed for the area.

I have seen a lot of labs aroung Tallahassee, but I have a rat terrier! almost all of my friends either have a lab or mixed to a lab, or border collie, or mixed to a border collie.
