I want them to be social and get along with each other. I have tried many different activities to make them like each other. I need some new ideas on how to socialize them to a point of liking each other...any suggestions?

Bitches are out to kill, it is a simple fact of life with dogs. First of all, are they spayed? This can help immensely, but won't guarantee that they can get along. Now, this behavior isn't unusual, but it's not something that is guaranteed to happen between females, it is just much more likely.
To keep both dogs safe and happy, you may just have to find another home for one of them.

Are you sure they are fighting? If you have never had two dogs before you may be suprised how fiercely they play. My dogs have scared guests who think they are killing each other. They always pull their punches and there is no blood. If it is a fight, it does not matter who starts it. Do not punish normal dog behavior, just break it up with aloud noise. Hitting a big pot works well. The point is that they are having problems deciding who is the dominant dog. They have to sort this out and you have to support their decision. This means feeding the dominant dog first. Pet the dominant dog first when you come home. Give treats to the dominant dog first. Let the dominant dog out the door before the other dog. Sometimes you just have to separate them for a bit. My boy dog usually steals my girl dog's rawhide toy. I then take the stolen toy away and move the girl and the toy to another room that the boy dog is not allowed in. They do not fight (at least not about rawhide) because the girl dog knows the boy is bigger and dominant. Stay with them and watch them. I bet the older dog is not happy to share her turf with the interloper.

Dogs - like people - have different personalities. Just as you don't like everyone you meet, your dog won't either. I don't know what to tell you since you already have both dogs, but for future reference it is always a good idea to allow animals to meet in a home environment before committing to adopting the new kid. I can also tell you this - if you are anxious about this problem the dogs will feel that anxiety. They don't know why you're anxious but they will respond to it.

Bitches can be just as aggressive as 2 males are with each other. What breed are they?

If they are not yet spayed, that might be a place to start. Gets rid of a lot of those hormones they don't need. But at this point it is probably behavioural as well.

Are they spayed? If not, that is the first thing to do. My 2 females fought for 1 day, till it was established which one was boss. It's not up to you, it's up to the dogs. Now, they're fine. Maybe you should get professional help.
