OMG,,,,,,,,, I hope that this really did not happen u say u think the dog ate fiberglas so i hope ur thoughts are wrong. Some vets will make housecalls, (ours does) maybe u can find one that does. Watch for bloody feces, fiberglas is splintery and can stick itself into the digestive system and be as bad if not worse than glass. Hopefully this did not happen, i do not know anything that can rid this in ur dog other than hope it does not harm him.
good luck

I don't know what it will do to your dog, but I worked in a warehouse where I opened a box that had fiberglass in it. There were two mice in it and one died and the other one ran away really weird, so weird that I was able to walk up and pick the thing up. It was dieing itself. Fiberglass can cause some major problems internally, I don't know by your answer how much he ate and I don't know how harmful it can be to bigger animals. If the vets think something should be done, then call a farm vet, they make house calls. Good luck.

If they are playing and acting normal, just keep a close watch on them. My dog ate a ton of fiberglass insulation from the basement walls when we were finishing the downstairs, and she never got sick. She just passed it in her stool the next day. If the dogs do start acting funny, see if you can't find a friend or a neighbor who is prepared to help you get them to the vet. There's really nothing you can do except play the waiting game with them - if you made them throw it up it would probably irritate their throats. I know what you mean about loving your pets, my dogs are just like my children, now that my children have all grown up. Good luck!

Hello there. Well, I think this is very serious as fibreglass is just what it says it is- tiny fibres of glass within whatever the substance is. What did your vets say to you over the telephone? I should go with whatever they said as they are the experts. If it were me, I would get them to a vet if I had to have a taxi or get a neighbour to take me but if that werew necessary, your vets would have advised you that over the phone so rest easy. I will send up a prayer for you and your dear doggies. Blessings, JOY

Firstly,is it fibreglass in it's "unset"/raw state?or cured-meaning an object made of fibreglass? In the both incidences clearly, there isn't a lot that you can do if it's already swallowed, but clarity on the state would help.I suggest in both cases, feed the animals fatty meaty substances, and use the oily meat fat mixed with warm water as replacement for their normal water,if you have to flavour it with meaty substances do so,allow nature to run it's course-suggesting that the dog's do NOT sleep on your bed,or in a carpeted room.I've worked with raw fibreglass in the early eighties before the world woke up to the dangers,I'm still here,we did not even use masks in the factory. It'll pass, they are as resilient as you allow them to be.I'd strongly suggest quite obviously that you remove the offending items from them.
They'll be fine!
