She doesn't know if she's "abusing" her animal. she says that she knows how to own a dog, when she gets these books that are called "how to take care of a puppy". i am getting these books 'cause i got a pup. he's 4 months old.

Thanks 4 your opinion

Motrin can be toxic for pets. She could overdose her and cause her death. While you did the right thing by warning her, you can't always stop people from doing what they want.

And dogs and cats can still suck at older ages. My cat still sucks the end of his tail, and he's 5 years old. I've also had a dog that would steal my daughter's bottles. It is not common that a dog WILL suck a bottle, unless it was hand raised, but they can.

Explain how important it is to your friend that she take her dog to a vet right away. Dog bites can become infected creating an abscess that will require attention. She should not be giving her dog any medications without the advice of a vet. Did she use a rectal thermometer to determine if the dog does in fact have a fever?

Call her right now and tell her if she keeps her Snowball away from vet treatment, Snowball could die.

First of all your friend may be trying to give her dog meds via a baby bottle, however considering the fact that soon after a dog or cat stops nursing they lose the ability to suck, there is no way she could be doing this!

Okay, you NEVER give any animal human medicine. That's beyond stupidity. The dog can die, even if it's been mixed with water.
