My dog has been showing some strange symptoms including crying..

He stays in the same spot(he usually sits with my dad)..everytime we go near him, especially his stomach, he gets aggresive and tries to bite... Furthermore, he keeps crying on and off...

I am going to the vet tomorrow, but am extremly worried..has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks in advance...

How old is this dog? Have you tried moving its limbs to see if it cries when you touch a certain region of its body, (not its weiner) Is there anyone that has pasted away and it misses? Maybe it just needs a little attention.

Spend more time with your dog. Plus if it's a girl, and it seems a little fatter than usual, it may be pregnant, if the vet says it is, give it a lot of time to rest. The crying may be pain, or it might just be scared. I remember when my dog was just a puppy, he jumped up onto the couch and we all left the room. He always followed us so we thought he would just jump off the couch and come but he didn't, so we just let him stay there. After a while we heard a very strange sound, and when we went back it was the dog crying because he was scared to jump off the couch. We went back and helped him but sfter that day he was never scared of jumping off the couch again, i have no idea why though...

It could be a number of different things. The "fear biting' is normal, don't bother him.
You don't say how old the dog is or his breed. But 'Pancreatitis' is a real possibility.

Common symptoms of the acute form of pancreatitis in dogs include a very painful abdomen, abdominal distention, lack of appetite, depression, dehydration, a 'hunched up' posture, vomiting, diarrhea and yellow, greasy stool. Fever often accompanies these symptoms. Animals with more severe disease can develop heart arrhythmias, sepsis (body-wide infection), difficulty breathing, and a life-threatening condition called disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), which results in multiple hemorrhages. If the inflammation is severe, organs surrounding the pancreas could be 'autodigested' by pancreatic enzymes released from the damaged pancreas and become permanently damaged.

He needs to go to the Vet.

I don't think it's his tummy. It's his back he is in pain thus the crying and not wanting to be touched. doxies have long backs and have trouble with disc. I bet he jumps up on the furniture and jumps down too? Is he doing this now or waits to be picked up? with all Doxies we are going to have some kind of back trouble soon or later especially if we let them jump up and down. is he eating, drinking water , how about diarrhea or vomiting? if he has any of these symptoms call your vets office for after hours instructions, as to where to take him for treatment tonight. good luck, hopefully and injection of a steroid and some pain control will get him right quickly.

it sounds like he has some internal injuries, and that is why he is getting aggressive towards you. He is in pain, and that is way of showing that it hurts. you might try to give him a baby aspirin to help with the pain, and if he is a small dog, cut it and only give him half. It is a good thing to get him to a vet, this sounds serious. Could he have been kicked by a horse, or something, or gotten run over? He might have ingested something that is stuck in his stomach as well that is causing him pain. I wish you luck, and get him help tomorrow

I got mini Dach. one of my dach had eaten something like a cloth and it was making him sick till he was able to poo it out we took him to vet emergence and they gave him some pain pills till it passed. I also am breeding dachs and I sold one and they brought him back 2 days after they bought him he had eaten part of a plastic door and was clog plus the vet thought that they had stepped on him or drop ed him or something like that cause he had to take hard meds and it took him 8 weeks before he would even walk around. But he is great now and 16 weeks old and I am going to keep him. Best of luck to you and your dachs

no, But there could be something wrong with his digestive system. Maybe he ate something that he shouldnt have. When you take him to the vet, ask them about an x-ray on his stomach. His crying could be by pain in his abdomen. He is also aggressive about you getting near his stomach, because he thinks you are going to make the pain worse. I hope i helped.

Well, this could be a number of things and none of them good. The dog is obviously in a LOT of pain. I really don't think that I would wait until tomorrow.

Muzzle your dog and head to the vet.

Try to get him to a vet today, if possible. Don't worry about the aggressiveness and biting attempts. He doesn't feel good and doesn't know of "better" ways to express himself.
