I have a neighbor who has a dog that keeps getting off his leash and going into other neighbor's yard. I live on a busy street and today he nearly got killed by walking out in the middle of traffic. The neighbor will not answer the door and I feel the dog is being neglected. I feel bad for the dog; however, other neighbors have made similar complaint to animal control. Today I called Animal control and they claimed they were so backed up (a day behind) and over 6 hours ago, the complaint was made. And still the dog is off the leash, now sleeping in the back yard. He's a wierd dog, sometimes he's nice, but often times he barks and snapps, sometimes threatening people passing by on the sidewalk and the dogs they are walking on their leash. The neighbor will not talk to me about it. She feels it's not my buisness, but I consider it a threat. But still, animal control just won't do anything. I don't even feel safe in my own yard. Any advice other than moving.

My dog decided it would be fun to chew up my carpet while I wasn't home. She ripped it up all the way down to the cement underneath! My apartment complex doesn't know I have a dog so I need to fix this before they come in on Thursday for some maintenance work. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and if so, how did you repair your carpet? I don't have much money to spend but it has to be fixed. HELP!!!

What do you think about this story .well we don’t know what happened to my dogs because we cant find them. My mom said that around 8 in the morning she heard a loud noise like a door closing or a ladder. Around Ten minutes my dad went to work and didn’t see the dog outside the house but he didn’t know they were gone. Around 11 in the morning I woke up and I saw the back door was open so I looked for my three Chihuahua dogs that were gone and the whole day we found none. My dad said he went outside to throw something away and is pretty sure he closed the door. The next day we put up signs looked some more went to the animal shelter and still nothing. One time one of them ran away for hours but he returned in the night and none of them have been seen. Other times they run away and two of them go down the street and they practically stay there and one of them sits outside the house but that didn’t happen either. What might of happened.

He'll jump up from a relaxed state at the smallest movement of lights or shadows on the wall or floor. He can't even enjoy a car ride because he's fixated on reflections and passing lights. Please tell me it's not permanent!

The one's I remember were brown or black, laid down in the rear window of a car, and slowly bobbed their head up/down and side-to-side. This was popular back in the '70s and/or '80s.

Is it okay for the mother dog to leave the kennel of pups if they're not nursing to run around and stretch ? How long can she stay away from the pups with the pups still being safe without her body heat? minutes? hours? Is it okay if i keep a heating pad on while the mother dog is away? Or should I not let her out period?

I'm not good with breeds of dogs, however i've been wondering about the kind of dog i have. We got him from a pets adoption at a local store and they informed us that he may be part shar pei and boxer. Others have told us he may have some chow or pitt bull.
The dog is short haired, medium height, brown hair, wrinkled forehead, spotted tungue, and has a docked tail. He is 1 year and 5 months; 45 lb.
Um..If you would like to see some pictures of him just email me and tell me.
