I'm not good with breeds of dogs, however i've been wondering about the kind of dog i have. We got him from a pets adoption at a local store and they informed us that he may be part shar pei and boxer. Others have told us he may have some chow or pitt bull.
The dog is short haired, medium height, brown hair, wrinkled forehead, spotted tungue, and has a docked tail. He is 1 year and 5 months; 45 lb.
Um..If you would like to see some pictures of him just email me and tell me.

You can rule out the chow, because they have A LOT of hair. Your friends probably told you it was a chow mix because of the tongue, but a spotted tongue is not exclusive to chows; shar peis have them too. I'd go with what the store told you; they probably have a lot more experience with identifying dogs than your friends do.

Sounds like you have a Shar pei chow mix. they both have spotted tungues, but more shar pei it seems.

But all in all....He's a Mutt....I like them.
