The one's I remember were brown or black, laid down in the rear window of a car, and slowly bobbed their head up/down and side-to-side. This was popular back in the '70s and/or '80s.

I seen one the other day in a store called "magic mart", dont know if ur area has that store or not though.

Don't know if it's "the dog" you're talking about, but I've seen similar dogs (and even a few cats) at truck stops on the interstate...

Bobble head doll....I have seen them at flea markets and I think it was more like the 60's
