As soon as you get home take her out for a walk and that will work off some of the energy she has stored up from being in a kennel. The buy her toys that DO NOT look like things she is chewing. When she get something she is not supposed to have tell her no and to drop it. If that does not work try making some noise at her a whistle or psst to get her attention and then give her what she can play with. You should check out The Dog Wisperer on the animal plant he is awesome. This stuff worked on my extremely energetic jack russell and dachound mix. He has enough energy for 5 dog. I swear.

Get a kong toy and fill it with peanut butter. Also you have to train her to be less destructive. Be the alpha and train her correctly. Start now before it is too late. Just by training her to sit, lay, stay and stay away from the table while eating will help. Also make sure she is getting plenty of exercise everyday. She will get bored if she is not exercised. Try at least a mile walk everyday! Also, when she bites...Place your thumb in her mouth under her tongue and press down firmly. You have to do this right when she bites and not a minute after. Also tell her no. Good Luck

Does she have plenty of toys to chew on? Those Kongs are great but a bit pricey. Do you keep her busy and give her plenty of exercise? Do not play tug of war or other games that encourage biting or pulling. My Amstaff powered through three remotes, one game controller, six pair of shoes, a photo album, three library books, a chair, some woodwork, countless kids toys, etc. before we finally realized that she was chewing out of stress and boredom. Now I walk her every day and spend plenty of time playing frisbee with her and she is good. A tired dog is a good dog! good luck.

when a dog chews stuff up it usually means that they are bored my sister has a pit and she has to take him on a walk every day and on the weekends she takes him to a dog park and gives him lots of toys to play with and natural bones to chew on that keeps him very busy. pits are very strong and get bored very easily so there are activity's you can do with him such as taking him to obedience and teaching her to do agility they need a lot of exercise for her chewing up items in your home yelling at her will not help because they do not understand English you should take her to and obedience classes and keep her tired by keeping her active. if you need toys a great site to visit is http://www.petedge.com/ you can get very inexpensive chew toys there to keep her busy. GOOD LUCK!

APBT's are very active dogs! Take them for a walk/jog/hike/run daily! You can also build a springpole in the backyard and let them have at it. These dogs NEED to be exercised and ideally given a task; weightpull, hunting, farm work etc... they can really help out around the house, you just have to find them a job!

Look at your own habits. Do you give her an old knotted sock to play with? If so, how is she supposed to know what's yours or hers? When you leave her, make sure she has her own toys in the kennel. Hang a tire for her to play with, hang a huge knotted rope for her to jump at and play with, get her an indestructible ball...occupy her!! When she gets ahold of something she's not supposed to have, immediately take it away and replace it with one of "her" toys. Left in a kennel all day, she's full of herself when you let her out. Immediately take her for a walk. Start obedience training with her so her mind is occupied.
