Mice can carry many diseases, including rabies, fleas, ticks, and countless other ailments. I would say it is uncommon but not impossible for your dog to get sick from being around mice.

I definitely think the dog can get sick from mice. I had a mouse in my house and I got really sick. If you have a mouse problem get rid of it fast and maybe find another place for the dog in the meantime. I hope he does OK.

sort of.
The mice can have diseases that a dog could catch.
The fleas on the mice can get on the dog, and transmit disease.
And if the mice ate poison ( like rat pison) and the dog ate a dead mouse, the dog could be poisoned.
But if we assume very clean conditions and very healthy animals, with no food contaminations, with the dog several feet away from the mice, i don't think so.
I am NOT a disease expert.

It depends on what kind of exposure.
If you have healthy pet mice who are contained, probably not.
If you live in the country and have lots of field mice, yes, viruses and eating (deliberately or accidentally) mouse droppings can be harmful to your dog, as can getting bit if s/he corners one.

Yes, if the dog got the rat in his mouth or ate the mouse poop, the dog can get "worms." You can buy medication at the pet store and give to the dog to kill the parasites.

Actually, I don't think there have been any reported cases of a dog contracting a Hanta virus. But please post if you've seen info on a verified case.
But Leptospirosis can be a a problem.
