Open the mouth and look at the gums,, a dog with worms will have pale gums. it does sound like worms. Get something from the vet.

He's probably fine. A lot of dogs have an upset stomach and then eat grass to make themselves throw up. Make sure he isn't sneaking some food he isn't supposed to have, and also make sure he isn't eating the stuffing out of some of his toys.

It could be the heat. Feed him a little less so his tummy doen't hurt. They eat grass when they have an upset stomach.
