in your experience how does it rate compared to other foods? And any other good/bad experiences with chihuahuas would be helpful because I'm interested in getting one and I'd like to know all I can about their behavior etc.

Dog: Mini Dachshund
Today is her 56th day from the first day she "tied" with the male. Her milk (kinda clear stuff) came in this morning.
Yesterday, her temps were as follows:
9:30am=99.9
12:30pm=99.5
11:00pm=99.1

This morning, her temp was 98.7 at 6:30am, after going outside to potty.

She is just laying around sleeping. Last night in bed, I felt her pups moving constantly for over 30 minutes, and I hadn't been able to feel any movement up until then. I've heard that when they are moving, they're getting into place to deliver.

Do I have another 24-48 hours or anytime now?
Oh, and she still has the pee colored slimy & stringy discharge today. This is her 4th day of this.

Any help is MUCH appreciated!
Thanks to ALL in Advance!

P.S.
I've heard that a dog's normal temp is 101-102 degrees, and that when they are close to delivering, their temp will drop to between 98 & 99 degrees, then will spike up and drop back down again. At 6:30am, it was 98.7 and at 8am 100.2.

My dog, in other words, my best friend, one day bit me all because I was disciplining her. I did what I was suppoosed to, I was told to discipline her when she does something bad. She had bitten all 5 of us in the family before, so my dad took her to have her put to sleep. I feel like it's my fault she's dead. If I hadn't disciplined her, she might still be here. Can you make me feel better? We got a sweet puppy, and I love her, but I still miss my old one.

I am getting a chihuahua in the winter with my allowance, b-day, christmas, and "tooth fairy" money. So, I am going to be it's primary and only caregiver. My sister wants to play with it when I get it, but we read that whoever spends more time with it, it will protect from other people. And, I am going to buy it with my own money, so I told her it might bite her? But I am going to spend so much time with it and stuff, so yeah. What should I do. And please do not say " Get a different kind of dog. "

Dear Moonfairy,

I pointed out that I thought you mis-spoke on the issue of healthcare, so I brought it to your attention. You were objectively wrong in what you said, but you are certainly allowed to have and express whatever opinion you want. I apologize for assuming you didn't really mean what you said. You don't have to engage in a fight even if you think someone is trying to goad you. Take good care of yourself. It sounds like you've done a lot for others.

We are crate training our 5 mo. old Great pyranees puppy. I am home during the day so she is not alone, or crated for most of the day, but at night, when we crate her she barks! ALL NIGHT LONG!! Then she is so tired she sleeps most of the day! Even when we actively engage her in play, she'll play for a bit and then go take a nap. She has her days and nights reversed. How do I help her? We are so tired. :(

I'm concerned that my hyper male Jack Russell will try to kill the new puppies that should be born next week. Is this a rational concern?

How much did it cost you and how old was your dog when you had it done?
I just adopted a 1 year old bichon who still has his whole package and he just is in love with pretty much everything in my house!!! Just wondering how much it should cost so I have a number in my head when he goes to the vet.

My dog "Chance" was acting really strange the past 2 weeks. He started biting everyone and got a really mean look in his eyes. I took him to the vets yesterday and hear he had a brain disease and it was so far along, he had to be put to sleep. His was only 1 1/2 years old and a really good dog, it happened so fast, I am just sick! I had to come home without my dog! I am so heartbroken, he was my buddy!! God Bless Him!!

My boss's dog who is a boxer was stolen a lilttle over 2 months ago was finally returned to my boss last night. When she "disappeared" she weighed about 36 pounds. She was abnormally small and very cut and defined all over. She's a llittle over 1-1/2 yrs old. The vet thought she was perfect.

Now she weighs about 15-20 pounds heavier and overall her frame seems bigger. She does not seem anywhere near as cut and defined as she was before. She is very solid. This is definitely his dog as we can recognize her by her markings and tempermant/personality.

We are just wondering how she could have gained so much weight so fast. We were shocked when we saw how much her appearance changed. We think she was overfed and didn't get any excercise being that she was stolen and hid.

We are just wondering how she could change so dramatically so fast. Has anyone ever seen this happen to their boxer dog?

Thanks for answering.
