Probably something is irritating it. Maybe fleas, an allergy, an ant bite or something like that. You might take him to the vet if it continues.

properly professional plan is an ok nutrition, yet she would decide for a splash greater nutrition? Did you latterly swap from a domestic dog nutrition to a grown canine nutrition? At 11 months and for a pair greater, she could nevertheless be on domestic dog formulation. attempt switching to a greater robust high quality nutrition, like Nutro organic selection, or technology nutrition habitual. different than that, its a foul habit, and you will upload a splash pinapple to her nutrition habitual (attempt feeding it in chunks, like a manage a pair cases an afternoon) via fact it adjustments the scent of the waste and canine HATE the hot scent. Makes it much less appetizing to consume poops.

It could be fleas or allergies. The more he chews on it then the worse it'll get. It could turn into a hot spot meaning it'll have puss on it and be really gross. I'd take him to the vet. If hot spot then will get antibiotic ointment. Maybe cortisone shot. If fleas then maybe dip and flea meds. Allergies can be caused by almost anything from one flea bite to mosquito's to whatever. If he just has dry skin then could get conditioning shampoo. Also, I'd check with vet on that too. Better safe then sorry.

I believe your dog may be bored! I had a similar problem with mine, who wouldn't stop sucking it's blanket. They are very energetic & intelligent creatures who require a great deal of stimulation. They need walking twice a day (at least 30 mins each) and enjoying playing games and being taught new things. Good Luck!

My dog used to do the same thing..is it around the butt area or the tip of the tail? My dog used to do both, but its normal and he is probably just itchy..but if he really bites it..you may need to take him to a vet because they have to clean out his glands in his butt

Haven't you called or seen the vet?
I feel so bad for him !!!!
Help him !!!!!!!!
I love dogs
Even more than mankind
Please let me hear more k??
i will be thinking of him
you must feel so helpless eh??
You could also do what the vets do
and put a lampshade around his
neck and then he can't get at his
tail.
poor baby

He probably thinks it's a toy. Buy him a toy from Petsmart or something, and maybe he will forget about his tail and play with the real toy.

Did you check for flees? Our dog did that as well. You don't have to worry about it unless it gets excessive. If your worried about it dip his tail in lemon juice.
