So, not really autistic, but she is just kind of in her own world. My family jokes that she's "special", and she really is. My other pup Bailey is very aware and dependent on us, but Rylee who is now almost 5 months, is well, kind of spacy. I don't know how else to describe it. I'll just find her sitting outside staring into space sometimes. Other than that, she's a normal pup, playing with Bailey and she loves us. When we go to the dog park, she'll play with the dogs, and then I'll see her just running rampant by herself. I love my special little pup!!! Does anyone else have a "special" pup? :)

We have a rescue dog, aged between 18 mths and 2yrs, and can't stop him from whining for attention, no matter how much he gets! We have tried the 'clicker' but it hasn't given good results as yet! Any ideas?

Why do so many people think that only stay at home moms can have a family dog? I dont get it. My kids are home all day in the summer. So they are at home with my dogs. My Bassett hound sleeps on my sofa all day. My Lab plays with the cat and naps the rest of the day. Do they sound mistreated?? I dont get the pious pet owners out there. Can someone help them get a life?Oh yes in the winter they have to hold it about 7 or 8 hours. That is about 3 hours less than they sleep at night.

I saw one on the dog shows and it seemed like it was some sort of terrier. It looks just like a teddy bear, do you know what kind it is? How big do they get? Happy answering

I have a 15 week old Yorkie/Chihuahua mix. She weighs just a little over 4 lbs. She is afraid of going down stairs. She will go up just fine, but stands at the top and whimpers when she can't go down. Drives me nuts when she follows me everywhere and I keep having to pick her up to haul her back down the stairs. Sometimes having to make a couple trips to retrieve her. Can she be trained to go down or just has to learn on her own?

I want to breed my Shepherd (I have friends who want puppies) and am trying to find out all I can about the process. It will be a little bit before I am looking to breed seeing as how my pup is only 10 months old and just in her first heat. Any advice anyone has or information would be most apreciated.

I had a 2 year old black lab that i have to put down today. He has a blood clot in his spinal cord and the vet said there is no way he could recover. He liked to go to the lake and swim, run, etc. He also liked to go hunting at a certain place. I dont know where it would be a good place to bury him. I am thinking on top of a hill at the lake though.

Hi, my dog has really bad snarls behind her ears. I normally take very good care of her major brushing needs. But we just moved and things have been busy! Now that I am finally settled I have been working on her hair. I have cut them! Brushed them! Given her a bath. But I cant seem to get rid of the huge snarl! Does anyone else have a goldne and now a trick?

My dog was hit by a car last night around 9 p.m. and walked away from it. She's a pit bull around 1 1/2 years old. She played last night and she was walking fine this morning at 7 am, but when i checked on her at around 11 am she was limping and did not want to move. I let her inside so i could monitor her and if she moves around for a while she will walk on it, but if she lays down for 10 minutes plus, she will get up limping. Is anything broken or does it sound like a bruised or sprained paw. Also is there anything OTC i could give her for the time being until i can take her 2 the vet?
