My Mom passed away on sept,28,05 and my sis told me her dog was doing that loud howl bark.did he know something was wrong?and when I came home from the hospital where she died I went in my room and my cat came to me and just wanted to be held did she know what happen?

First of all, I'm so sorry about your loss. I lost my Mom to cancer when I was 9, and it was horrible. My prayers are with you.
Now, about your question. I absolutely believe that animals are able to sense emotions that we portray! When I am upset and crying, my animals all come up to me and act very gentle....just like they want to be close to me and comfort me. They know something's wrong. Any other time they are running around like lunatics having fun! So, yes! Animals have the ability to "feel" what is happening around them!

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. In answer to your question animals don't really know they just are very intune to the people they love. They sensed that you we're all upset and they acted on that, the only way they know how.

i totally believe that your animals can pick up on your feelings and emotions...so yes, i think your cat and dog knew something was wrong b/c you and your sister were feeling bad.
