yup, i took my dog to the kennel and she had to stay there for two weeks, apparently she barked the whole time, when we brought her home she was trying to bark but just making this silly squeaking noise instead!

I guess maybe they could if they barked really hard for a loooong time. We have two dogs next door that bark and howl for a week at a time. They still haven't lost their voices. *sigh* I keep wishing they would, but they just keep going...

I don't think soo...They bark too much and they forget to drink water for some period of time...After they drink water they should start getting there voice back.

No,they dont however in many instances when they are scared they voice tends to more commonly change. I agree check it out with the vet and make your canine is okay. Yes, there bark will become really hoarse and they will not be able to bark as loud as they normally can.
