I know they're already small but I want an even smaller one... like a purse pup. I also know that breeding them strangely will cause certain problems but almost all dogs are bread to be the way they are, so what would the difference be really. Anyway, thanks

Right, they are typically 14- 20 lbs. I want one more in the 3-5 lbs. range... any suggestions?

Geez man, my hubby's mom always kept chihuahuas and wants a tiny dog, but I can't stand them and want a lhasa apso because they are part tibetan rabbit. I asked a question on a site for questions and answers, not for any bashing or phsycological evaluation... SH!T

there's no such thing as a miniature lhasa apso. I would recommend going to your local shelter and seeing what they have.

No reputable breeder would breed dogs that are under the breed standard No reputable breeder of small breeds would breed a male that is bigger than the female(it can cause many complications during or before birth) No reputable breeder would call it 'miniature' as there is no such thing as a 'mini Lhasa Apso', they come in one size. Completely and entirely a BYB

Please take my word for it that there is a HUGE difference between generationally breeding dogs to enchance the quality of the breed as a whole and trying to pair up two dogs just to get a tiny (unhealthy and possiblity deformed) lhasa apso.
Toy pomeranians are cute, fluffy things that look nothing like chihuahuas. They range from 3-7 lbs. The silky terrier is about as tiny and looks kind of like a lhasa apso. Please, please consider finding one of these dogs rather than trying to mutate a lhasa apso to be that small.
P.S. What do you mean that lhasa apsos are part Tibetan rabbit?

If you want a tiny "purse dog", then you don't want a lhasa apso. Simple. Maybe a maltese, but not a lhasa.
Find a breed that already suits your needs, don't try to force a breed to be something it isn't.

There probably is. But mini versions of toy dogs often suffer problems such as liver failure and deformed bones

NO!!!!
F'rkrissakes, the dang things go *20* LBS!!!
Go to the AKC site & READ THE BREED STANDARD!!!
YOU need a teddybear *&* your head examined,NOT any sort of live animal, especially some poor dog to ruin.
