If you love your pet as much as you say you do, you better have the dog checked out quickly, because there may be internal injuries you can't see.Good luck to you, and I hope your dog is ok.

I am a dog lover big time and I am sorry to hear about your situation. Look at the wound area to see if the pellet is still in the dog. It depends how powerful the pellet gun was so maybe it did not penetrate his skin. If the pellet did and it is close to the surface, use a sterilized tweezers and remove it. Then clean the area with peroxide. Next, go to a pet store and get an antibiotic for treating wounds on dogs and follow the directions to apply and he will be a happy puppy real soon. But keep an eye on it incase it gets infected and give him/her lots of TLC, Popsicles, icecream etc...Good Luck.

I agree with rose bud.
Take the dog to the vet now and demand that the kids parents pay the vet bills. She could really be in alot of pain right now and needs a doctor.
Then you should go next door and explain to the parents what happened and tell them next time something happens you will call the police. And that they should pay the vet bill this time.
Thats what I would do.

There's not much you could do at home about an embedded pellet. It needs be taken out and the wound cleaned professionly before it gets infected. There could also be other wounds that you may miss, not to mention internal damage.
If you have any proof or eyewitness that the kid shot your dog, report it to the police. Even if there isn't enough to press charges, it creates a record that can be referred to if there are later incidents. Talk to the parent, too.
Hope your dog gets well soon (and the brat gets grounded!).

Is the bebe lodged into to skin? If not then I would just make sure that the spot doesnt get infected (perioxide it out). If it is embedded you could use twizzers to get it out (depends on how deep it is). I have been shot by a bebe before though and it didnt go into my skin---most bebe guns dont. I would go and talk to the neighbor though. Any type of gun is not to be used like this.

Unless the BB or pellet is so shallow in the wound that you can see it, pull it out yourself with tweezers and clean the wound and bandage the wound. Then apply presure to stop the bleeding and go to the vet immediately. Also, file a police report and/or a report with the animal control board.
If it was me and I knew for sure it was the neighbor kid I might start using my pooper scooper to leave all of my two dogs' waste on their doorstep, or their car. Use your imagination.

There's not too much a vet can do about a wound from a BB besides clean it and give you some antibiotics. Even if they did do an X-ray, it's impossible to see where exactly the BB is because it most likely inside muscle mass. Personally, I'd just watch her and see how she does. If she acts like she's in much pain I would definately take her to the vet.

Take the dog to the vet. There are no home remedies for shotgun wounds.

It depends on whether your dog was injured badly or mildly. My friend's dog was shot by a bebe gun, and was not hurt badly, only frightened. Add more detail stating how badly your dog is hurt.

give him a bath and then check for any damage to the dog. If you find anything it is best to get him to the vet, he could get infection, or have damage that you cant see.If you bath him you will be able to see damage down in the fur better
