My bichon is 8 months old and i normally feed her about 1/3 cup of food once or twice a day depending on how hungry she is---does anyone know the exact amount I should be feeding her? Thanks

that sounds about right..1/3 c once a day. or 1/4 cup twice a day would work too. They arent usually dogs who will eat and eat and eat until they throw up, they usually eat until they are content, so i would not worry about a little extra here and there

I have a Havanese who is in the same family as the Bichon. I feed her 1/4 cup 2 to 3 times a day. that is what the Breeder and the vet told me to do. Hope this helps you out

It depends on the kind of food you are feeding. If you are buying a cheap food, the instructions typically call for a larger portion size. A premium food will need to be fed less. The label on the food should give you the exact amount you should be feeding.

depends on the label and what brand it is. we had a bichon and they can b picky eaters, ours used to graze then come back l8r rather than scoff it all at once. Rememb that wet food is mostly water so focus on dry more (also good 4 their teeth)
