I've never seen a "blue" cat that was blue--they're gray.

I found a kitten (think 7 months) crying outside my gate last Friday. Took him in and after talking to a few people found out that he had been abandonded. I took him to the vets on Sunday to see if he was chipped and health checked. He has no chip but suffering from gum disease, for which the vet is treating. Also given flea and worm treatment. The problem i have is he has very runny poos and going to the litter tray about 12 times a day. Maybe down to poor diet before i got him. He is always hungey and crys alot. Back down the vets yesturday for first injection to find could not have this done as poos a really big problem. Already ill dont want to make him sicker. I have got him on Science plan kitten food, as wet is too rich for his stomach. What the question is i heard that rice and plain chicken is good for balancing out the lining of the stomach. Is this true? . Do you think i should try it as a dinner meal? or should i just stick with science plan all the time? Thanks.

I have a 9 week old kitten who seems to have very dirty ears. When you look inside them it looks like there is dirt in them. Does anyone know what it could be? Thanks in advance

my cat recently got pregnant and now I'm trying to figure out with what? I ask becuse we live in very rural area and there are no other cats around that I know of except bobacts ( and we saw what looked liked bobcat tracks in our yard about the time our cat got pregnant). So my question if a florida bobcat mated with a short tailed diloute black (most likely BB) mackrel tabby cat, what would the offspring look like in terms of coat color, tail length, and other traits? All the kittens are grey mackrel almost spotted tabby with white bands around their ears and eyes and some white on there bellys one has short tail (the rest I think are full length tails) . Could they possibly be half bobcat kittens??

Thanks

We recently had my fiance's cat shaved because of heavy matting. His is a maincoon with long beautiful fur. About how long do you think it will take for his fur to grow at least to a length he doesnt feel naked? He was shaved to the skin in some spots but mostly he is buzzed. So it is very short. His fur in total legth (grown out) would approx. be maybe 4 to 5 inches. Any one able to help?

We have a 5 year old cat, with clear eyes. She walks into walls and doors, and I played with her the other night with a pen, when I touched her with it, she would bat at it with her paws, but when I moved it away, she was still batting at nothing, like it was still there. But when we walk into a room she puts her arms up to have us pick her up, so this makes me think mabe she can see.She doesn't have a haze or anything on her eyes.I will be taking her to the vet, but until then, any suggestions?

ok...owning 3 cats, i know its cattish behaviour to kill things. but my cat dexter is becoming responsible for the rapid decline in wildlife! hes killing everything! and worse he keeps bringing everything back as gifts for me. ok i know this means hes happy. which makes me happy... but im starting to worry a bit...
monday i came home to a blackburd allover my living room, wednesday i had a pidgeon splatted around the kitchen... and yesterday i was laid on the sofa and saw a live frog hop across the living room floor... i picked him up... and took him back to the pond across the street... woke up the morning... and he was dead on the living room floor :(
does anyone else have this problem? well... i know it aint a problem as such... but is there anyway to kinda 'calm ' his killing spree down a little? as im getting these lovely gifts virtually every day... im just waiting to see him sitting there with a bit of tabby fur hanging out his mouth where hes ate the other cats!

We have had out cat since he was 9 weeks and since the day we brought him home he was a little chancer, always up to something, but 15 months down the line, hes a big cat and still acting as though hes only 9 weeks! he wakes us up in the middle of the night digging at our bedroom door (he is DEFINATELY not allowed in our bedroom at night due him jumping at your face etc), we cant lock him in a room at night as he digs up all carpets and lino, we try to ignore him but it gets worse. every day we come home and something is broken, or the hoover is out the cupboard or dishes on the floor. he gets alot of love from us and we play with him alot, so why is he being so badly behaved? we have tried spraying water on him, but he thinks its great, like a game as if your playing tag with him!!! ive tried putting him in the naughty room (our conservatory) but he just finds something else to do in there!!! please help!!! :(

I own a kitten that has just reached four months old. He happens to live with my girlfriend and her roommate (who I do not live with). Whenever I'm around, he's very rambunctious and playful like I would expect a kitten to be. He's all over the place, literally. However, once I leave, apparently he becomes much more subdued and not anywhere near as hyped up. I spent the most time with the kitten when we first got him and I do spend the most time playing with him, so perhaps he associates me as more of a playmate than the two people that he lives with? Does anybody else have any ideas about this? Thanks for the help!

so i have two questions...
1. he does this weird meowing thing....and walks around the house and he does it when he plays with the other cat. he's not hungry, thirsty, hurt etc... i'm just trying to figure out why he does this sound and what he is communicating.

2. he's about 5 years old and one of his ankles crack when he walks. he's not limping. he doesn't act like he's in pain whatsover. is there anything i can do to help his joints?

and please don't say that he's meowing b/c his ankle cracks . i know that, that is not that type of meow.

thanks
