Some of these posters need to get off their high-horse! Maybe it was a rescued stray already pregnant before she got it. Also, there are still people out there who breed some types of cats for show and sale. She might have just wanted to have a litter of kittens before spaying the queen. As long as she plans to be responsible now by spaying mother and kittens, lay off!

As to your original question my dear, why not call your local vet and see if he/she suggests a visit or to wait a little longer.

just read this from somebody' else's answer, but thought it could help... "if she hasn't had any kittens yet or there is more than an hour between kittens take her to the vet they could be stuck and she may need a c-section to deliver them. my cat delivered 4 kittens in 6 hours so a longer labour could be normal for her.
sometimes it can take a while for cats to birth their kittens.. if she seems unusually struggled or something seems odd, definitely give your vet a call just for peace of mind.. but in my experience, some can last up to 10-12 hours... even overnight! Good luck!
If she is working to deliver and no production over that much time , she needs to be checked. If she is not actively in labor and pushing, let her rest, and get a post partum checkup tomorrow. Dr. W
a mom-cat I fostered delivered two in the first few hours, then two more overnight! If she is not in distress, and there is no blood or discharge, she could be fine. If you're worried, call your vet. "

yes could be more kittens, could be one "stuck" in the birth canal too. All of it can put your cat at risk. This requires a professional exam at this point to determine the best option for the cat. Especially since its been so long, and your only kitten is dead. Call the emergency vet in your area.

There probably are more kittens inside. Length of time for delivery for each mama cat is different just as it is with humans.

Do? Look in telephone book for emergency veterinary services and call them about what to do. Emergency services are usually connected with a shelter or humane society; sometimes with a cooperative group of doctors or a vet school.

Problem is there may be more dead kittens (who knws why) in the mama's uterus, and this could be harmful to her in the long run. So, you need to do something intelligent, sooner rather than later.

Yes, there could be more kittens, and they could be dead. Take your cat to the vet to check, because your cat may die as well if they are left in her. And spay the poor cat!

Yes there could be more. My cat was in labor and birthing for four or five hours. She may need help giving birth and if she doesn't, she may be in danger herself. If she doesn't have them, she could die. There are great websites to tell you how to help her give birth.

TAKE HER TO THE VET AND STOP BREEDING CATS! There are so many cats killed in shelters and in the streets because of this! ARGH!

What should you do? You should be responsible and get your cat spayed. Sorry - I don't feel sorry for you when you were the one that could have prevented this. That poor cat :(
