As Leo will be indoor only I was advised by many Breeders that they do get used to a leash if started young. I do want him to experience some outdoor life (only with me by his side though)

If I start to take him out on a harness will he be pining to go out all the time or will he realise that he will only go out once of an evening with me? The last thing i would want is him to like the outside world too much & be crying at the door all night long to get out ! That would make me feel awful

I have 2 kitties, jess who's 12yrs old and woody who's 3yrs old.
We adopted woody in may from cats protection, he's only got 3 legs sadly and i'm worried 'cos he's getting fat(!)
Anyone got any suggestions on what i could feed them so that woody loses afew pounds but without affecting jess as his weight is fine?
(It's difficult with feeding separately as they're indoor cats with full run of the house, and I tried to separate them for a day while I was at work but they clawed at the carpet under the door trying to get to each other........)
HELP!!!!

I think my 10-11 week old kitten might be pregnant. Her belly has gotten big and she has become a scavenger for food. She is all white, and her belly almost looks purpleish...I have only had her for about 3-4 weeks. Is this possible? If not, what else could it be? I found her outside and do not have the money to take her to a vet right now. I will in a couple weeks, but what can I do right now? Please help! Thank you.

*Save any rude answers for someone else please. I genuinely need help Thank you!!*

I have 2 kittens, 3 months old now (same litter, male and female)
I noticed the male started mounting the female and biting the back of her neck. I'm not sure if hes trying to hump her....i would think they were too young for that. She doesnt do anything, but lay there. i got them when they were 6 weeks old.

the other morning after I woke up I layed in bed for a while with my hands behind my head and my 7 month old cat jumped into bed with me and for some strange reason started smelling under my arms (I hadn't put on deoderant yet) and he started rubbing against me and acting like he had just gotten into some catnip, have any of your cats done this? is there something in sweat that gets to them?

I got my kitten about a month and a half ago from a shelter. The person at the shelter said that my kitten did not get any shots for vaccination and I have yet to take him to the vet and give him those shots. Lately he's been acting aggressive-- bitting and causing bleeding etc. He doesn't go outside at all, so I don't think there is any way he could have gotten sick during the time I had him. It could be from his exposure of other animals during his time in a shelter, which i persume wasn't long, because he's fairly young. But if he did become in contact with rabies during his stay at the shelter, wouldn't my kitten have died by now? Should i be carefull?

I answered this question to the best of my ability, gave advice, and a little criticism, and the asker keeps e-mailing me and chastising me for being "very rude and inconsiderate." Do you all think I was excessively rude with my truthful answer?

My 1 and a half yr old cat has suddenly stopped using his litter box. We are going on day 7 of refusal to use it. Hes going in the sinks and bathtubs. The box is completely clean. I have even given it a scrub down. We havent changed brands of litter and nothing has changed in the household. I dont have the slightest idea why he is doing this or how to stop him. Its driving me CRAZY. Help.

My 7-year old cat broke out recently with about 15 bloody bumps all over her forehead, in front of her ears. My sister, a veterinarian, told me over the phone it is likely an allergy and we traced it to some bonito flakes I had fed her as a special treat two days before--she told me to use small amounts of neosporin and hydrocortisone and it should clear up in a couple of days. I'm shocked and had never heard of this, but there were no other changes in her diet or surroundings. Her brother ate the same flakes, but she also cannot eat most brands of dry food without throwing up and he is not like that, so I guess she is sensitive. My question is, has anyone else ever experienced this with bonito?

My cat is 12 years old, his name is Fred. We used to clean his litter box maybe three-four times a week. Now i'm cleaning two, even three times a day. It's clumping more than it used to, and these clumps are huge. Proably the size of my head. It's never been like this before, and i'm wondering if maybe it's because he's peeing more often. Maybe his kidneys are having problems because of his old age. I have no idea, i'm lost, please help.

The other night my roommate's cat went missing. He is usually home at least four times a day to eat. He relies on us to feed him. I am wondering if male cats still feel the need to runaway and chase females even if they are neutered. Or maybe he would run away for some other reason. No one wants to believe he is dead yet. Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for him to be out there wandering around like un-neutered cats do....

My cat Gem is 12 years old. Not long after I first had him he went missing for about three weeks. When he turned up again he had been neutured by my neighbours who live two doors' away. They said they thought he was a stray and had become friends with their female cat. They had put them both into a cattery while they went away on holiday and had him neutured, without making any attempt to knock on neighbours' doors or find out who he belonged to. I have since continually asked them not to feed him or allow him into their house but have been ignored. Consequently, he became very overweight. More recently he has suffered skin problems. Their cat died two years ago but I have found they are still ignoring my requests and become angry with me. They appear to regard Gem as a surrogate for their cat who died instead of taking on the whole responsibility of getting themselves another cat of their own. Our Vet now treating Gem for bald patches. What are my legal rights?.

My cat has been dead for almost 6 months now so it must have been his ghost. Do you think it is possible to see the ghost of a much loved pet that has died? This is not the first time this has happened but I just put the other occasions to the back of my mine.

I found a strange orange bug on my cat. Its bigger than a flea, but it still seemed to want to burrow in her. It kinda had characteristics of a worm but its way too small to be a worm. It was a bug. I have never seen a bug like this before. I am in the pacific northwest if that helps identifying this bug.

I understand all the pros for having pets "fixed", which is why I've scheduled the surgery for next week. I'm just a little concerned that he will be in pain afterwards.
