I answered this question to the best of my ability, gave advice, and a little criticism, and the asker keeps e-mailing me and chastising me for being "very rude and inconsiderate." Do you all think I was excessively rude with my truthful answer?

dynamitebaby ~ I know, the comment that I added for her to go and breed some more unwanted cats was a bit rude, but it's in response to her e-mails saying that her cats have lots of kittens and why should I care? I told her I care because there are so many being killed in shelters. And,her cats is obviously not doing well after having had two litters in a row,or she wouldn't have asked the question to begin with.

I'm not going to report her.She doesn't bother me.If she wants to keep adding to the already heartbreaking number of unwanted cats, then it's on her conscience, not mine. And,she can send me a thousand e-mails;it still won't change my answer!

RuneAmok ~ I made the assumption that she was irresponsible, because she is,letting her cats have two litters in a roe,and then saying that the cat was in bad shape, and "do you have to take a cat to the vet to be wormed?" In her e-mails,she tried to say that she takes her cat to the vet. Why, then is she asking us for advice, instead of just taking the cat and kittens in to the vet? Also, since the cats is in bad shape, letting her have another litter right after this one COULD kill her. It's only common sense not to let your cat have kittens everytime it's in heat, especially if it's "SO skinny," as she put it.

I agree with the people above that you were not rude. You were honest and gave her a great answer.

Some people can't handle the truth and just want everyone to agree with them. That is part of being on a public forum, you will get people that wont agree with you and answers you don't like. She should learn that before posting more questions on Yahoo Answers or any forum for that matter.

Keep giving honest answers and MOST people will appreciate them!

I am concerned for the mother cat and her kittens. The mother sounds very unhealthy which usually results in unhealthy kittens. I truly hope she does all she can to find those kittens great homes and do all she can to make sure they are ALL spayed or neutered, including the mother cat. Although, based on the fact that this is her cat's second litter, I won’t hold my breath on that one.

Loved your answer!

As an animal lover, between different issues, I could desire to declare to you what I say to all and sundry searching for any animal - breed performs an element in temperament yet once you're a competent chief and type a reliable bond- the animal will do what they are able to to thrill you. while you're basically driving for exhilaration dont concern too plenty approximately breed - detect a healthful horse with a competent recommendations-set which you would be able to fall in love with, and verify youre mushy with the top. All animals choose exercize and a 'pastime' to do - in case you may furnish that, you may get any breed of horse you like.

Very rude, no. A little rude, yes. You did make an assumption that the owner was irresponsible in not getting her cat spayed. And you were perhaps a little harsh in suggesting that letting her cat have kittens might kill her. She struck me as someone who is very concerned about her cat and strives to take good care of it - even if she isn't as knowledgeable on the subject as she could be.

If it had been me, I would have been annoyed at your answer. I wouldn't have picked it as best just to shame you, though (if that's what she did). I don't know that I would have emailed you, although I would probably have fired back a little in a comment.

That's my assessment, FWIW.

No, you were not rude; just honest. Some people can't take an honest answer or criticism. Your were right in telling her that a responsible pet owner will have their pet fixed so as to keep the pet in better health and not add to the unwanted pets that end up in kill shelters.

I don't think she was rude. Jessica E is just a retard so don't mind her. If she keeps emailing you just report her and block her. Also if she thought it was so rude why would she choose you as best answer. Shes stupid and I'm on your side. :) Don't feel bad about someone elses fault. Hope this helps!

No, you were not rude at all...I actually think you were a little too nice...I would have given it to her for being such an uneducated irresponsible contributor to the already out of control pet overpopulation problem.

Maybe you just struck a nerve in the girl. I don't think your answer was rude. One of the comments you left her was kinda rude. Make your e-mail anonymous and she can't e-mail you anymore....

No, I don't. She's a bad pet owner not having taken care of worming, etc. before pregnancy!

No, you weren't rude at all. You told her what she needed to hear because she wasn't taking care of her pet properly. She's just sore. Report that she is harrassing you.
