My cat has been dead for almost 6 months now so it must have been his ghost. Do you think it is possible to see the ghost of a much loved pet that has died? This is not the first time this has happened but I just put the other occasions to the back of my mine.

Don't worry, he's just letting you know he's still around, my cat died a year ago after 20 great years together and I still see him now and then coming into a room. I swear I've felt him brush against me. I have a new kitten now, and I swear they play together!
I thought I was going mad for awhile, but my mam says she see's him too

Well... after having to have one put to sleep way too young (cancer) almost ten years ago...

I never saw him, but I heard him two or three times. An obvious meow in his voice, with no other cats here. The rest of the family also experienced the same thing individually. This was within the first number of months.

We also would hear the spring door bumper he used to play with. And at the time, we had no other pets other then fish. That noise actually happened now and then for quite a while.

So maybe you did see what you think you saw!

It is so hard to say. Personally I think you were just seeing things, especially if it was for just a second. I have thought I have heard meowing when there was no cat around. I was driving and I thought I heard a meow but I checked everywhere in the backseat of the car thinking my cat had jumped in when I wasn't looking. It happened again and I still couldn't see her. A week or so later it happend again. I told my husband and he said that maybe the cat I had previously that went missing had died and was just trying to give me a message. I hope she is okay but I still think I was just hearing things.

Yes I do. My cat died last week, she was hit by a car, I am so upset, I rescued her when she was only about 3 weeks old and was my baby. I know sounds soppy but I am totally gutted. She would sneak into the bathroom and drink from the dripping tap, I am sure I have seen her - just a glimpse of a shadow and the dog keeps looking as if she can see her little friend. I am never getting the tap fixed. I believe you, much love to both of you.

we to saw a ghost cat on several occasions or so we thought but to cut a long story short odd things started to happen so we called in a medium and it turned out to be the former owner of the house trying to make his presense known the medium knew nothing of the cat but picked up straight away that this was the only way he could be seen !

Hi there,

I think it is entirely possible that spirits exist and that in certain circumstances, humans might be able to witness them.

On the other hand, your subconscious could be tricking you because somewhere in the back of your mind you still expect to see him in certain places around your home. I sometimes think that I can see or hear my cat for a split second; then find him in another room asleep.

Either way, it is nice that your cat is still with you, one way or another. It doesn't really matter what other people think or even if your visions are in fact of his spirit - the important thing is that you still feel connected to him.

How long has it been since your cat died? If it's been anywhere around a month it'll be the fact that you miss her and imagine her still with you. I'm not making this up. My cat patches died and since she was an outdoor cat, I would go to my porch and she'd come running to me. So after she died I remembered how she would come and for a moment I thought I saw her.

I miss my cat but I hope we both feel better soon.

My springer spaniel was 13 when she had to be put to sleep in feb this year because of cancer . About 4 weeks ago I felt something lean against my legs when I was working at my computer [ she used to fall asleep on my feet when I was here] I looked down to see nothing ther ,also at time I can feel my bed go down as if something is climbing up onto it and she used to do this too. I know she is with me i spirit i'll never forget her.

I saw the ghost of a dog once in my friends house. We were standing talking and her dog ran in between us and went to jump up her. She put her hand down and said no, and when we looked down he wasn't there. He was in fact just coming in the back door about 30 ft away. I don't know what dog had come in first but we definitely both saw it.

Our eyes play tricks on us, even in the daytime. There are a lot of shadows at night, which can seem to move. It's far more likely that a shadow moved, and the shadow was shaped vaguely like your cat. You say the cat was much-loved, so has been on your mind quite a bit.
You can call it a ghost if you like. Personally, I don't believe in ghosts.
