HAHAHA!!! Yeah, that's called chattering, and it means "I want to get my greedy little teeth into some of THAT!!!"

It's really funny.

I put a Bird feeder outside by a window, turns out it was the best entertainment idea I had for my indoor cats. One of my Siamese used to chatter his teeth and make the weirdest noises.

Yes my female Sis gets to chattering and twitching when she sees birds. I have seen her do this only when we have babies around I think she is instinctively calling the baby to come hunt. She is a big fixed female and a real good big sister. She has never had kittens but we have lots of rescues . She plays and cleans the little ones and she also disciplines gently.

birds and all animals have quite a repertoire of sounds that we don't always hear unless the situation is just right. does sound funny/cute.

Yes, my cat clicks with her mouth and her whiskers shake, and her tail flcks back and forth like she is trying to hit someone with it. Its hilarious, I love it, I purposely hold them to the window to see birds!

Yes, my cats make alien sounds when they are catching crickets, they get especially loud when the cricket gets away.

Ours do! They make a sound we call the "chitter". Almost sounds like they're clacking their teeth together. And they shake and twitch like they're having seizures-especially if they see a chipmunk!
