That crazy @ss cat won't shut up at night! I have all wood floors so it's extra loud. I don't know what to do! I am up all night and I am exhausted. I play with him all the time and he has plenty of food. What can I do?? He is over a year old and he is neutered.

he wants something obviously the question is what, maybe he needs a companion to keep him company at night, they are nocturnal and he might be lonely while you are sleeping,if you are shutting him out of your room maybe the simple solution is to let him in and sleep with you he may quiet down if he can snuggle with you at night,it sounds like a he needs companionship issue to me

Hi,as already suggested, getting a playmate to your cat might be a fast and effective solution, unless you don´t leave the cat coming into your room while you want to sleep.I suggest the first option, since the cat might not sleep as long as you would and he might also wake you up.When a cat has a companion, they spend most of the daytime playing together and at night they´re soooo tired that they won´t disturb you anymore.Do this favour to you and to your hairy friend :))

You'll need to figure out what he's trying to say. Does he do it only when you're in bed and he's locked out of your bedroom? Let him in to sleep with you. Are there stray cats that parade about your yard at night? What is different in your house at night? Are windows or doors closed or opened at bedtime? Do you turn the heat/air conditioning up or down and the unit makes a noise that bothers your cat?

Try staying up and observing your cat without him noticing, and see what he's yowling at. That should give you additional clues to what's bothering him.

Sometimes the lonliness can be stopped by leaving a radio playing quietly, so he's not in a big quiet place all alone. If you keep your bedroom door closed, he's going to yell at it because you've trapped yourself on the other side and trapped him on this side.

the best thing would be to let him out at night as this is probably why he is crying, my cat likes to be in at night but cries to go out all day if we dont let him out.

Hope it helps
