She does not like me to close the bedroom or bathroom door without letting her in. She sits outside my closed bedroom door early in the morning until I let her in. I have tried squirting her with a water bottle, but to no avail. If I didn't close the bedroom door at night, I would never get any sleep because of her curiosity.

I think they take 'cat naps' so they are a little bit alert. Maybe it's a cat's life and not a dog's life huh?

How long do rabies shots last for cats and have you heard that people are now saying annual shots for pets are bad for their health?

i wrote on monday about the 2 kittens that i found with every thing wrong with them.
but i left one thing out my littlest one dose not have her own voice.
she tries to meow and i can here the air coming out.
but no sounds, she has never made a sound.
could this be some kind of infection,or birth defect.
because of this i named her sirin.

My new kitten seems to like dry food only and yet she was eating fish etc before we bought her home - when I give her tinned tuna or pouch meat she tries to bury it!

We have two kittens (3 months old) that have been in the house for a month, and an older cat (8 or 9 years old). When can we let the kittens roam free? Right now they are penned up in the foyer (with food and water and a litter box, of course).

The adult cat hissed the first two days, and after that would disappear whenever we let the kittens out to play. Now, she doesn't show interest in the kittens at all, and doesn't disappear too much. No hissing, either.

The problem is, everyone is at work or school for most of the day. I'm afraid it's too early to let them play together alone yet. What age would be good? Or what signs should I look for?

He is 6 months old and he ALWAYS wants attention. Always want to play, always wants to cuddle or at least sleep next to me. He will literally not sleep if he sees me doing something... he'll stand around, watching over my shoulder. He might fall asleep but he wakes up quickly whenever he thinks I'm up to something. Very nosy. I know that he's just an affectionate cat but sometimes I think is it normal for a cat to be this clingy? People say that cats are independent but mine certainly isn't! He loves to be with people, especially me, and he hates being alone.

We adopted a kitten and they give him a physical and dewormed him, etc. They didn't give him any shots because he is still too young. However, when we got him home he was coughing and sneezing. He sounds like he wants to cough something up, but nothing comes out. I don't think its a hairball. He is a typical Domestic Short Hair. His eyes are very teary and his nose is runny. It's been about a week. He is eating, drinking, and very active.

Anyone know what it is, or what we can do to help him? We called a vet and they told us to wait and see what happens, but I think that is horrid advice.

I had 1 cat, and this year I found 6 kittens with problems in the streets. I raised them and managed to rehome 4 of them. The 2 are still here, and I can't find a home, plus now i love them too much. I live in a not too large appartment with my husband. We often go away for work, and we used to take the cat with us, but he was one cat and he didn't mind travelling. Do you think 3 cats is too much? If you hear that someone has 3 cats in an apt. what do you thiink (that they are crazy cat people whose house will probably be covered in hairs and stink? or that it's cool? Be honest)
