We just put Frontline on our cats this evening and the one is not looking very good. :( He acts like it hurts/burns to open his eyes, his eyes are 'seeping' (?), and he seems to be foaming at the mouth (or something similar). Any thoughts? I'm really concerned! Thanks.

My cat is 16 years old, and she is dying. I would like to keep her comfortable as long as possible, but she is absolutely ravenous, eats anything she can get, and is still losing weight. I give her 3 cans of cat food a day. What would be the best high calorie meals I could give her to help her feel full longer?
She is usually so hungry, she will literally dive into the canned food when I put it down, and then she grabs any of our food she can get off our plates.
Please don't give me the "take her to the vet" speech, she's lived a good life, and there is only one more trip to the vet for her. I'm hoping that I don't have to take her, home would be a less scary place for her to die.

my cat will not stop licking her belly and paws she does this all the time and makes herself bleed and she has bald spots. she has no fur on her belly at all. We purchased her a cat condo thinking this may give her something to do but it has not helped at all. Her front paw is so bad that it looks like the bone is going to start showing. Does anyone know what may be the cause and if there is anything that we can do to stop this behavior?

Mother cat is diagnosed with FeLV and I have other cats in the house out of which 4 are 3 months Old.
The mother cat ( Sweety) is getting better with anitbiotics and constant feeding n attention.
I am tryign to keep the other cats away from her but its very difficult.
Since the past few days my kittens are started drinking more water then they normally do. I am worried as excssive drinking is a symptom of FeLV. I can afford to get blood tests done for all the cats to confirm FeLV and the vaccines are also very costly. What can I do? I dont wanna lose em.
Also the cat which is recovering is still getting Diarrheoa even though she is eating well and seems to be putting on a lil weight. How ever she is not as active as she used to be still. When can i call her safe and out of the woods?

Many people give up on their cats who have behavioural or health issues that is difficult to deal with. Most of the time these animals end up in shelters and often times put to sleep.
I was wondering if any of you had any cats that caused you financial or emotional problems (like not getting along with your other pets or children, peeing everywhere, biting clawing etc) but you kept your cat anyway. If so, what did you do to overcome these issues and were you happy in the end that you kept your cat?

He eats when he wants to, I guess, and his coat is shiney and he is alert, but he just appears thin.

One of my cats (3 years old) has the strange habit of licking plastic bags. Anytime we go to the store and bring home bags, she comes running and sits there and licks the bag as we are unpacking groceries. Does anyone know why she does this? She has done it for the 2 years since we've "adopted" her.

My mom's cat, Otter, is about 5 months old, and was rescued as an orphaned baby. He has always been a biting little thing, not necessarily mean, but very aggressive playing. Unless he is tired, you can't pet his head without him grabbing your hand and biting it.. He also attacks legs... Squirting water and saying no doesn't do a thing.. Any ideas? (no we will not put him down) thanks.

I have two 3 yr. old cats, a shorthair black male and a longhair black female. Well last night my daughter came running into my room, crying and screaming, telling my boyfriend and I that she was on the dining room floor dead! I can't believe how broken up over this I am. I could not sleep last night and I can't stop today. I guess what really bothers me is that she has always been healthy and she was only 3. When we found her she had gone to the bathroom where she had past. Does anyone know if blood clots and heart attacks are common with cats, and will either cause her to die the way she did?

I am having problems with my cat urinating in a corner of our house. I evidently cannot get the smell out, because she keeps doing it. I have taken her to the vet --- she's healthy (no UTI....), I have purchased a new litter box and new litter --- her litter box is kept clean......I direct her to the litter box, as you would do a kitten ---- but she keeps going back to the corner. I have cleaned the area with everything, and am now trying Nature's Miracle. This is my second application, as I found a new puddle after my first application. Also having the area professionally cleaned in a few days. Any other suggestions????? This is about to drive me out of my mind......

SPECIFIC QUESTIONS:

Has anyone had really good luck with Nature's Miracle?

Will the professional cleaning (with a special pet odor formula) finally get the smell out????

I think I either have springtails or cat fleas in my apt - my cat has been treated with frontline and I flea fogged the apt. I also had an exterminator in and the room in which they are most prominent, both I and the cat are staying out of. The apt is pre-war in NY - even after the exterminator the bugs came back. I've vacuumed them up, sprayed, and the exterminator is coming back on thursday. My bedsheets were laundered last time along with the duvet yet still these little pests are back. Any ideas for foolproof ways to get rid of a kinda mystery bug. (They're def not bedbugs or cockroaches on the say-so of the exterminator and from online pics they look to me to be springtails or fleas. About 3-5mm long and 1-2mm wide and jet black)
