Dry kitty food and water will cure this. The soft, canned food will make him fart and drop big loads. Save this "treat" for special occassions and do not let him make a steady diet of it. Besides, if he is accustomed to it he will not eat anything else later on.

if this is a weaned kitten, your food is the likely culprit. Use a food with an animal protein in the 1st 3 ingredients, if fish meal is in your 1st, 3 ingredients change. I use Iams kitten or Hill's science diet, you will find that a quality food costs less in the long run.Less eaten because there are no fillers, less shedding because the protein is higher, less solid waste because you pet eats less and the poo almost does not stink because the food is used better by the body. think of low protein food as fast food-no wholesome ingredients for the growing baby.I have found that most canned food seems to make things stinker.

It could be the food you are feeding it. Do you give it dry food mixed with milk or canned food. Sometimes milk will make a kitten or even a cat stinky. Your kitten may also be lactos intolerent if you are giving him milk

Milk could be the culprit...Or if he is a indoor/outdoor cat maybe he is eating mice or birds. When my cats eat mice or birds they get pretty stinky. I don't know of a way to keep a cat from hunting, but they risk getting worms and such when they do.

Cow's milk has too much sugar in it for cats to digest properly, and they'll fart a lot if given this. Stop the milk, and if you're not feeding fish flavored cat food as well, the smell should stop too.

Buy better food and feed only that food.
I have found the best if DRY Purina One Naturals. Get the one that is for sensitive system the first ingredient is Turkey.
It is more expensive but you also feed less because it is more nutritional and their bodies absorb it better. Plus they poop less!

Well, I've got an adult female with similar issues. I think she's just got a sensitive digestive system. I call her the "queen of stinky poo." It could be the food, or it could just be him. I wouldn't worry about it unless he's got diarrhea often or seems to be sick.
To PAM: So sorry about your kitty!

Milk could be the culprit. My vet says no milk because it gives them diarrhea.
