Yes it is possible for her to have only one kitten now then more later.. My girl has done this twice, once there was 16 hours in between and the last time she went 32 hours before her labor started back up. .This can happen for a few different reasons, 1. if she is not comfortable at where she is having the kittens and feels it is not a secure enough place she could stop labor, or 2. if there is a kitten stuck in the birth canal that will halt her labor. #. If there is a dead one in there then her labor will not progress. If you still feel more kittens in there kicking I wold first move her to a dimmly lit area where she will feel no one can get to her babies, then wait no more than 30 hours after she delivered the first kitten, dead or alive.. after that I would make a trip to the vet to get x-ray to determine how many are still in there..
Also keep in mind that if there are dead ones in there it cold start an infection in her body that could be fatal to her if not caught in time so please dont wait to long..
good luck...

Oh, yes.
Our Himalayan had 1 kitten on the 30th of May, another one a few hours later. Both healthy, then a few days later she had another one and during the night she had 2 more. All very healthy.
We know that when a cat gets pregnant, she can have as much as 3 separate litters spaced relatively close together. And the Papa cat can be a different one for each egg that in in the uterus. Sometimes cats go into heat more than just
once.
She has had her kittens & is now spayed.
All my friends now have new cat children at their house.

What to do about family members who do not take their animals to the vet when needed? For instance, My sister has a cat that is having babies. The cat had two kittens 2 days ago. Next day they were dead. Today she had another one born dead. This cat needs to go to the vet but my sister and her husband won t take them cause they do not want to spend the money on them! But they drive 500$ a month cars and take long drives to check out sites, travel several miles to pick up a coffee table they found on line. But won t spend a dime caring for their cats. Oh, ya, They have like 15 cats cause they wont spend the money getting them fixed! vicious circle. Makes me soooo mad!

If that happened they would almost certainly be dead because the placenta has burst. It is very unusual for a cat to have only one kitten though. Knowing that, I would definitely get her to the vet. She can retain the bodies, which can cause a serious infection.

Yes this can happen. I was informed by my vet recently that cats can gt pregnant by multiple males at different times. So if it was a little while inbetween then it's most likely what happened.

No, unless she's still giving birth right now. Please get your cat spayed, it's much kinder to the cat population.
