Raw chicken has way too much bacteria on it especially if it's been packaged more than a day ago, but cooked chicken is ok warm or cold--just take the bones out and take off any coating the chicken may have been dipped into, the cats should only get the meat part.

Was it raw? I just read in the last weeks Sunday paper that it was not good to give cats foods like chicken, tuna, chocolate, that they need the vits and minerals that canned and dry food give them and that there is no real nutrition in chicken for a cat.

It depends. If you're sure that the meat is safe you could give it to them raw. If you're at all concerned, boiling it lightly or nuking it would be a better idea.

If you're planning on feeding raw on a regular basis, you need to feed organic or at least hormone and antibiotic free chicken.

Boil it, then let it cool off before giving it to the cats. Chicken and rice is often recommended by vets when your cat has loose bowels.

Well is it coOKed or raw? Cooked chicken cold is ok. But I wouldn't feed them raw chicken! I mean honestly would you? I wouldn't take a risk. Chicken is good for them too... its easy on their digestive system. Good for when they have diarrhea.

make sure you cook it then let it cool all the way...test it on your lip or wrist if you can because cats tongues or very sensitive and can get burnt easily

You can give it to them raw, bones and all but if you decide to cook the chicken at all, then be sure and remove the bones before you give it to them.
