My cats never go out, they were out when i got them though and that is why they also had fleas, but then i treated them and i thought this would have killed anything on them!I just don't know how to move now....

Well, there are a number of things this could be. What shape? How large are they? Ticks are certainly a possibility, but so are fleas (and I suppose bed bugs too). Do you or your cats have any kind of bite marks? Inspect linen, check your cats fur (you should probably go to the vet to make sure) and check your bed thoroughly. What time do you see them? When you see them, if you poke them will they jump? Do you see anything that could resemble eggs? ... baby beetles maybe?

Here are some links to help you along

Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!

ticks are oval and kind of brownish colored - you would know if they were ticks because they would be on your pet - you would have a horrible situation in pulling them off in fact. This sounds like some kind of beetle. If they are not bitting then don't panic too much. Ask an exterminator for professional help and make sure you vaccum regularly. Go on whatsthebug.com and see if you can find what you have.

Are they sort of long and flatish? More than 1/4" long, maybe up to 1/2" long? There's a sort of outdoor bug that comes inside some years, they try to hibernate at odd times of the year in the USA.

I'm thinking specifically of this one (below) My dad's place was infested with them (and they have no pets), and we had at least 15 in our place a few months ago. They're outdoor bugs, don't bite, and aren't there because of the pets.

Hmm.. .they sound like ticks. Anything could have caused them... your cats probably don't have them because you used a flea treatment that might repel ticks too... Do they look like any of the images in this link?

sounds like fleas to me. they jump and crawl. go on your computer type in ticks and search the sites. you can also do the same for fleas. you should get enough pictures to help. good luck.

Fleas ALWAYS jump to move..

Go online and look on a site about bugs. You should see ticks on there.
