I am having problems with my cat urinating in a corner of our house. I evidently cannot get the smell out, because she keeps doing it. I have taken her to the vet --- she's healthy (no UTI....), I have purchased a new litter box and new litter --- her litter box is kept clean......I direct her to the litter box, as you would do a kitten ---- but she keeps going back to the corner. I have cleaned the area with everything, and am now trying Nature's Miracle. This is my second application, as I found a new puddle after my first application. Also having the area professionally cleaned in a few days. Any other suggestions????? This is about to drive me out of my mind......

SPECIFIC QUESTIONS:

Has anyone had really good luck with Nature's Miracle?

Will the professional cleaning (with a special pet odor formula) finally get the smell out????

I had the same issue awhile back when my oldest cat was found to be diabetic. Regardless of what I used, the cat would still urintate nearthe same spot. A cat box in its place only meant she urinated on the outside of the box, usually on the litter box (we use the dome kind).

I've heard a professional cleaner can get the job done but I've never tried it (I'm too cheap to pay a professional, lol). The issue isn't as bad today if we catch her and put her on the screened porch when she looks like shes' about to go. Afterwards, we have flood pipes leading into the yard from the screen room. We hose down the porch every other day and it really isn't much of an issue anymore though it still happens from time to time.

Well U Can Get A New Carpet
Now Your Cat Keeps Going To The Corner

And That's Where She Well Pee Until The Smells Gone.(Shes Use To The Smell)
Now If U Get a New Carpet First Thing You'd Wanna Do
Is Guide Ur Cat To The Litter Box After She Is Done Drinking Water
And Wait For Awhile And Put Her/Him
In Their Little Box.
Or U Can Get Carpet Cleaners.

Have the carpet cleaning people use a odor eliminator to help. Nothing is going to take it out until you change the cat's habit. Keep Using enzyme cleaners if you still smell ANYTHING. Then go to Walmart or Home Depot and buy those little wire fences to block off the area. Put something over the fence so she won't jump over it, like a screen. The area must air out and kitty must be blocked off. After a month or more find an object to put in the corner like a plant stand. Don't just put a plant there because she will dig in the dirt. might not look great for a while but it will work.

Unfortunately, Nature's Miracle and like products won't work very well on area's that have already been treated with detergents and shampoos.

The problem is the urine has soaked all the way down, to the pad, and the under that. Professional cleaners are not going to be able to help with that.

Your best option is, since it is only in one spot- cut out that spot of carpet and padding and replace it with new. That seems an easier option then re-carpeting the entire room.

Have you tried placing a new litter box on that spot? That could help as she will won't be able to pee on that same spot, but she may also start going beside it. Worth a shot though.

We have 3 cats and one of them seems to be having a problem findiing the litter box. I use peroxide on pee spots on carpetiing. The peroxide desolves anything organic. Just pour the peroxide on the spot and leave it there for a while. Then take a terry cloth cleaning rag and rub the spot to get most of the liquid out of the carpet. The peroxide will evaporate. Do this before you have the carpets cleaned. Some people say to put tin foil wherever you don't want a cat to be because they don't like to walk on it. Some cats don't seem to care what they walk on and others do. It might be worth a try. It won't cost much. Peroxide doesn't cost much either and it does work.

Last 12 months my lovely Manx cat Theodore went out for the night time and by no means got here again. I love cats and the condo did not think the identical with out one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was once very anxious and could pee everywhere the condo. I discovered Cat Spraying No More on the web and the methods labored virtually instantly. I have not had a situation with Lola considering that. Amazing! Can't give up your cat peeing within the condo? Then fear not more...

When my cat did that, after cleaning he would still go back, just like yours is. I put his litter box in that corner for a few days (In the living room!!! It was inconvenient but it had to be done) Then moved it back to its normal spot. And he quit going to the corner. I had put a lot of baking powder in the corner too which helped absorb the odor (I left an open box of baking soda and put stuff around the area to make it hard for him to go there.

I cant help with the smell, but with the cat peeing in the corner whenever you catch the cat in the corner about to do a pee get a spray bottle filled with water and spray the cat. Most cats dont like it and if you keep doing it everytime the cat goes to the corner he/she will get annoyed and find somewhere else and that is when you direct your cat to the kitty litter. Also try putting newspaper down where you want your cat to go to the toilet they usually like it.

I know you said you took her to the vet and no UTI but what about diabetes?...Did they check had a friend with the exact same problem and her cat was diabetic. As for the carpet cleaning all I can tell you from experience that professional cleaning does work but it is expensive they can do a procedure that picks up the carpet and cleans the foam underneath "Steamatic" does it.

Use White Vinegar to clean the carpet as
it will neutralize & eliminate the urine smell.
The White vinegar smell will go away in about
2-3 hours.
