I'm getting a kitten when she's old enough to be taken away from her mother.
She's an outdoor cat..she's not inside at all(due to allergies).
The people I'm getting her from also live out of the city.
I already have three cats.

Is it okay for her to be brought home before going to get her shots?
I can only pick her up on a weekend so I may not get her in to a vet right away.
And they can't take her in before hand because they leave for work at 5am.

Also, do the kittens stay over night at the vet's office when they get their first shots and deworming?

She lets others pick her up. The only contact she'll allow with me is to play with the fishing pole. How can I develop a closer relationship?

My cat is very sick. Does anyone believe in Interspecies Telepathic Communication, or Telepathic Healing for that matter, and have the ability?

I have been taking care of an orphaned kitten since it was a couple days old. It's been going very well (night-time feedings and a full-time job are tiring, but I've fallen hard), I take it to the vet before work and pick it up after so they can feed it and care for it. However, today, I found that the nipple in his bottle has been torn open even more to allow more formula through. It was coming out fine before. I am so angry because I've assumed that they did that because they are quite busy and understaffed and can't wait for him to drink at his own pace. If the formula was coming through his nose for me then certainly it was for them and it leaves him sneezing and his breathing sounds wet and obstructed for a long time afterwards. It broke my heart to think they may have done it on purpose. I guess my real questions are, what should I say and am I being a bit paranoid?

My boyfriend just found a cat who has a horribly broken tail. It's just about at a 90 degree angle. There is no way we can take the poor thing to a vet seeing as we both have no money. What can I do for her that would help?

can my cat be allergic to cat nip. I have two cats. The one that loves cat nip is seven years old and the younger one, who just turned one in April, jumps away from it every time I try to give it to her. She acts like it is something that she is allergic to and always starts squinting and backs away when I try and give it to her. I don't plan on trying to give it to her again but i'm just wondering why she doesn't like it.

My girlfriend came home today and found her kitten behind her dresser. She took him out and he collapsed on the floor. He got up and started to walk a few feet but collapsed again. He kept doing this for a few minutes. Now he's laying on the floor unconscious and is having twitching seizures. Is he having a stroke and what should we do?

I have two female cats and one male, all are unfixed. Does a male cat go for just one female or both? Just wondering if both will have kittens. Also is it common for the male cat to bite the female's neck while having sex?

So my cat threw up a hairball this morning and there was something in it, looked just like an earthworm, but much smaller diameter.

Anyways, does this mean she has worms? And what can I do for her? She has a vet appt. on Thursday, can she wait until then? She seems fine.

this morning, i woke up quite late, around 9 am or something and i was surprised not to see my 3 cats waiting for me at my bedroom door, so i searched around the house and i found them under the guestrooms' bed, having a happy meal! lol and yes! its a live bird, and all that was left was a few feathers and a leg bone, errrr lol
i observed the 3 sillies the whole day today and they seem to be fine, but just by the thought of them eating a bird still worries me. its already 2 am here, i cant get myself to sleep. is there enough reason for me to take them to vet, or i shouldnt worry at all.
the feathers i saw was black in color and quite grown, i think its a maya bird, because every morning thats the type of bird i usually see on our window. thanks for your answer.....

My friends tell me that I shouldn't because cat's "smell like piss no matter how clean you are about taking care of them."

While I wouldn't normally listen to such silliness, one of my friends also threatened to stop socializing with me if I adopted one due to his hatred of them. He's a germophobe.

What should I do? I always wanted to have a cat, and at 22 I'd imagine there's nothing really stopping me but my peers. I spend a lot of time alone at home (I work out of the home, actually, over the internet...) So having a pet would make things less lonely, yanno?

There is a family of kittens next door that I would like to keep 1 or 2 of them. how do i get them to trust me? i have started putting out bowls of milk to get them to come over, what else can i do?

The mother is with them, and since I'm normally a dog person and have never owned a cat, I have no idea of the age. They are still nursing

before anyone asks :-) i know they're not my neighbors cats because he moved out months ago due to illness. no one lives there now.
