The little kitten was treated at the vet , when/if he recovers he will be adopted, and hopefully he'll get a good and loving home. All of the Answers deserve favoriting but sadly i can only pick one.

This kitten needs to see a vet.It could be an eye infection or it could be distemper.Keep it away from your other pets, until it's been vet checked

It isn't OK for you to be using human medication on an animal, no. Even if you don't do more damage, you don't know what is causing this problem so it's pointless to just put random drops in.
This kitten may well have cat flu, mucousy eyes are a symptom of this. As well as being highly contagious to other cats, it can be fatal in the very old or the young (i.e kittens).
Any animal you find should always be taken to a vet for a health check and care advice. This one definitely needs to see a vet.

Mostly kittens are born with puss on the eyes. What I think you should do is bring it to a professional vet for the perfect care.

No. You can't use a human eye drop on a cat, it could seriously damage their eye. Call the vet and see what they suggest.

No! Don't use anything formulated for humans. You need to see a vet. Sounds like an infection.

Do not use anything unless it has been prescribed by your vet. You could end up making it alot worse or cause the cat to get really sick.
This kitty needs to be taken to the vet ASAP.

Right, if you don't know what you are dealing with DON'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL - you could make the situation worse.
Instead, contact your nearest VET or animal shelter NOW.

you can use human eye drops that won't hurt him, but take him to the vet as soon as you can.

Um...Veterinarian!
And eye stuff CAN spread, so if you won't take him for him, take him for yourself!
