Can anyone advise me on the best way for treating this problem? as i know this can be very dangerous to kittens and cause anemia.
I got him from a pet shop when he was 9 weeks, they told me he was deflead and dewormed, and also that he will need doing again which i did last week.
I used a jhonsons herbal treatment, that you put on his neck for the fleas but its obviously not worked, so i dont know what the next step is.
I do not have any other pets, so its a bit of a mystery where they have come from.
I have also dewormed him.

My cat is having dental problems and the vet told me to check her back teeth to see if the infection is healing or getting worse. The vet has no problem with it, but I can't seem to open her mouth in a way that allows me to see her back gums. She resists when I try to move her lips out of the way. Is there a technique for doing this that makes it easier for the vet than it is for me?

She is an indoor cat and soooo sweet. I am worried about her personality changing and any health side effects from having a full hysterectomy without hormone supplement, which is essentially what spaying does.

since my daghter had very strong feeling toward this pet . please tell me all the advise you have personally or introduce any special sites that might help.
I draw your attention to this matter that where I live even the life of human beings is not of a great value so normal people do not understand the depth of grief.\ P.S: The cat was a beatiful three years old with lots of offspring who thery are running around

Yesterday I saw, on the rare occurence, my cat sitting down resting along with two other cats from my apartment complex, within the same general area but apparently chilling out and not attacking eachother. Should it be expected on the odd ocassion for cats to actually get along and 'socialize'? or is this sitting around doing nothing a reaction to me arriving in the parking lot? I saw 3-4 cats sitting around, 1 was mine, and she came to me easily when I called her and had no wounds and was actually quite happy and not frightened in the least. I hope she's found some freinds but I want to make sure I shouldn't be scolding the other cats!

My cat is about 11 months old now ( we found her about 3 or 4 months ago). She is gray/silver in color with pronounced spots not only on her hair but her skin as well. She has greenish eyes with an amber cast to them. She also has the "m" marking on her forehead, 2 mascara lines on her cheeks coming off the corners of her eyes, and a long striped tail. She also displays a lot of the characteristics behaviorally to what I've read about Egyptian Maus (e.i. loves to hunt, loves her food, very quick).

Ok, I have a male neutered cat called Sylvester, and he is now 1 and 1/2 years old. He has been the perfect cat, until two weeks ago, when a stray gave birth to two kittens in our yard.

Being as I am, I have helped the mother cat, and have had her vet checked and wormed, flead etc, and she is doing great as are the kittens, but here is the problem.....

Sylvester is really annoyed with me. He has become very vocal, as well hissing and growling at me, and generally doesn't want to spend anytime with me. I am really confused, and I was planning on keeping the female, but now wonder if I shouldn't.

He toleraates the female cat & the kittens, it's just me that he doesn't like!

Will it pass? If I decide to find a home for the female, will things go back to normal? Or shjould I stick it out, and hopefully he will adjust, and return to his normal, happy self??

Thanks in advance!!!

We give our cat a constant supply of water next to his food bowl and he never drinks it, yet we see him happily drinking out of puddles, buckets of water we're washing the car with, the toilet bowl or any other seemingly less appealing water supplies!

The water is through a purifying tap, so it shouldn't have too many chemicals or whatever, and even if it did, it'd be better than toilet water!

I've had my cat for 6 months now and she's been acting weird lately. She refuses to drink out her water bowl...she prefers toilet water. I tried to just close the lid but she'll sit on top of it all day if she has to. Sometimes she'll just put her paws in the toilet and just sit there. She also is addicted to thumb tacs. She'll raid my desk until she finds them and plays with them. Even if she pokes herself...she still wants them. She also likes to run really fast and jump on the blinds in my apartment. She breaks them all the time and i have no idea why she feels she need to do this. She just jumps on them and walks away like everythings cool. She's so bad that i lock her out my bedroom and she'll sit there and scratch the door for hours until i finally open it...then she walks away like she doesnt want to come in or something. She just started doing this recently and its funny but annoying at times. Is this a phase or is she just crazy?

When we first got him he was very skiddish. My last cat was a lap cat so this was a big shock. I want to know if it was something we are doing or if it's just him. He also bites so that is sometimes bad when we have company.

We had 2 adult cats of our own, 1 male 2 yrs and 1 female calico 4 years. We took in my mother in laws cat, we she passed away a few weeks ago, she is a female calico 10 yrs old. we kept the oldest cat seperated from the other 2 for awhile, and then gradually got them together, supervised, with spray bottles. But, now whenever the older one is in the facinity the other 2 cats run and hide elsewhere. In the beginning there were a lot of hissing etc. Now there hiding. We still put the older one down stairs when there's no supervision or at night. Will the 3 cats ever get to the point of being in the same room without hissing or hating each other. I just want them to get a long?? What should I do if anything? It's been about 3 weeks now total.
