She seems to have about four favorite songs. They are all fairly slow tempo and 3 of the 4 are broadway tunes.

My cat recently, i have noticed has been chewing off the nail on his front two paws, just the first nail on each foot. I have looked at it when he is sleeping by pushing on his foot to expose the claw. it does not appear to be infected or anything..i just cant think of why he would do this...boredom perhaps??

... and it is wheezing a bit. It keeps trying to get in our house, and meowing an awful lot.

I've never seen this cat before today, we don't feed the cats in the area or anything. I don't know who it would belong to, I don't know my neighbours.

Is this the kind of thing I should call the RSPCA about? Would they deal with this? Or is it likely to go away tonight? I don't want it to be an ill cat that needed assistance.

How on earth can I stop my cat from clawing my stair carpet , rug & leather sofa! He's 6 & has never done this before but we recently moved & he's agraphobic! Won't leave the house at all! So I guess he's not clawing trees like he used to! Tried a scratch post but he & his mate who's 13 just looked at me as if i was mad!

I have an adorable 2yr old male tabby , which I love immensely, my problem is that I work all day and at night I spend as much time as I can and always feel guilty if I have other things to do. I was thinking that maybe I should get another cat for him to play with during the day , because at night I cannot sleep he wants my attention all night long . Truly exhausted !

I've heard a lot of different opinions, and conflicting advice, when it comes to cat food, like: (1) introduce new foods gradually, and (2) cats can get addicted if always given the same food.

Right now I use Eagle Pack (Kitten Formula, dry) and give the kitten canned food as treats (one can every 4-5 days). I've heard a total dry food diet isn't good, however; I'm planning to increase the amount of canned food in her diet (will still provide dry), so here's my question:

1. Is it OK to give my cat different brands of cat food (I use Merricks and, when not available, Whiskas)?

2. Dry food-wise, I'm planning to change to Eagle Pack Holistic Select once she's a bit older and was wondering if I could rotate the flavour/formula every few months or so? And when is a good time to do that? Is six months too early?

3. Is chicken (with bones) safe to give if cooked in a pressure cooker? Or does this strip the nutrients off the chicken.

Thanks!

I have a male kitten (under a year old) who has been peeing everywhere in my house...not spraying...but actually peeing...on pillows, in my bathroom floor, under my bed...everywhere...I have no clue what has caused this...I at first thought maybe it was because his litter box wasn't clean...but last night I cleaned his box and he used it then came in the living room and peed on a pillow...I thought that maybe getting him fixed would help...If anyone has had this problem or knows how to help please let me know...Thanks!

I've heard of "kitty show," which has bugs & bird DVD's that cats are supposed to like watching--has anyone tried it to see if it works?
Kitty has to be kept indoors per my lease, does anyone have any other suggestions? She's licked a bald spot on one of her arms, and I'm trying to think of things that can keep her occupied during my finals, when I won't be able to play with her much.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say the Yahoo answers cat folks have always been wonderful--this is at least my 3rd question, and you guys ALWAYS help me out. Thank you! Kitty says "thank you, " too __^..^__

My cat has a tumor that is beyond our control now. My sweet little Shpunk will be put down on Saturday. She's had chemo and a really good life but in her last days I was hoping that something hollistic would help her feel better. She's not in any pain but she's on medications and I know those don't make her feel well. Can anyone help? I've read some stuff on this and I just want to know if marijuana will help her these last days. I've also heard about "blowing smoke in her ear" to get her high. Can someone shed some light?

Thank you

My friend was recently bitten badly by a vicious cat, it has so far bit two people, both elderly ladies, both completely unprovoked they didn't even see the cat coming. Both have been left with claw marks & deep tooth marks.

The owner of the cat doesnt really seem to care, my friend's calf has swollen up, its infected & she's had to have 2 jabs from the docs......what can we do about this cat?

We're worried it might attack one of the many young children living in the area.

when my cat sleeps he twiches constantly and his arms and legs kick out like he is fighting, but he is sound asleep. Also he will be sitting or laying on something and just totally lose balance and fall off. I though cats were suppose to land on their feet. Well he doesn't , he just lands how ever it is that he fell. That is not so much a problem. He may just be clumsy. Its his sleeping habbit that has mee worried. I don't know if they are seizurs(?) he is having or what. Do you know what this could be? Should I take him to the Vet? Or am I just worrying to much? Thanks for you help =)

I have two cats and can't afford Frontline.

I just bought Silver 3 way protection by Sergeants from WalMart for 1/2 the price of Frontline.

Does anyone know if Silver works and if not, any other suggestions on brands and where to get them?

I don't like the flea and tick collars, they smell.

I just adopted a 3 year old pregnant cat. I can tell that she will have her babies any day. This morning, I let her out of her taxi (first night home) to eat. She ate like a horse and then jumped off the deck. I haven't seen her. I have called her name and looked around for her. Do you think she will come back to have her kittens? Will she most likely come back to the food when she is hungry? I am worried and scared. She is huge and birth is imminent. I don't want her to have her babies off somewhere and not come home. Even if she does, do you think she will come back for food?? Any answers and suggestions are apreciated!! I need to find her QUICK!!

The male is younger and the female is terrified of him! She was rescued and has always been pretty skitish except with her people. I think he knows that she is scared and that he can dominate her, but he takes it to the extreem! He will attack her and scratch and bite her. We love both of our cats, but we cannot keep going on this way. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was looking for special collars to keep them apart but not have to mae them feel as though they are being punished...maybe a collar that would emit a beep when they are nearby to one another? The male has a collar with a bell, but he know where to find her and torment her...please help!
