He weighs 14 pounds and the vet says that he is a little overweight, she would like him at 11 pounds so he only has to lose 3 pounds. Should i be worried about 3 lbs?? I do keep his dish full at all times but i play with him a lot and he runs around when he's not sleeping. IT's hard to not give in when he wants people food too, he sits there and looks so sad that i just give him a little bit of my dinner everynight. I dont want to starve him!!

My cat drank some water/bubbles from a dish in the sink and I doubt it was a lot because she did not like the taste, but I need to know if I should seek medical help for her. Thanks if you can help

I noticed today while I was trimming my orange tabby's back claws that his pads are dry. Is this normal? I've had cats all my life (30 some odd years) and never had this happen. He only goes outside occassionaly and never for more then 5 minutes, especially now that it's cold. My other cat is outside a lot and her pads are fine.

They don't seem to bother him, but I was wondering if there's something I should be doing to prevent this or if it is a symptom of something.

Thanks!

My cat has been staying in her box with the kittens for an average of two to three hours and then she will come out for a five to ten min and the head back in... Is that normal?

My cat is almost 2 years old and very cute. But she has a fedish for peeing on sleeping bags and anything "scritch". Recently, my daughter had a friend that slept over and she slept on a sleeping bag and my cat peed on her! This is a major problem because my daughter is in love with my cat so we cant get rid of her and shes very cute! If anyone knows and thing about this please reply!

It started with the big furry one, i figured it was just hairballs. But this morning he vomited up all his food. now he is really lethargic and wont eat or drink ANYTHING. About 10 minutes ago my other cat randomly vomited. (no hairballs and now she is acting strange). Please help.

My cat actually had just ONE kitten. Cutest thing ever but he really drives his mom crazy because there are no other kittens to play with.

Okay, my cat is 2 years old, up until about 4 months ago he NEVER had a hair ball or threw up. Now he's had about 5-6 hair balls/thrown up his cat food in those 4 months. Twice in the last three weeks. He doesn't act lethargic or sick and nothing seems to be wrong, but before I make an unnecessary vet visit, I just thought I'd see if anyone else knew reasons why he may be throwing up now. Could it be aging?

I clean their eyes with wet cotton balls dipped in warm water every few hours. It melts away the gunk which prevents the two week old kittens from opening their eyes. When the top hard layer has melted away there is fresh, yellowigh-white stuff that oozes out from the bottom inside corner of their eyes. I clean that up and they are fine for a while. However, when I am at school and sleeping their eyes harden closed again. What can i do to clear the gunk for good?

SO, i have had my cat for 1 year and she is really sweet. lately though, she has been yowling non-stop! At night she yowls, in the morning she yowling and random times.. like when i'm watching TV. I cant decide if she want attention or if shes in heat! shes an indoor cat ( although shes gotten out once or twice) so im pretty sure shes not pregnant. What should I do about my Kitty?!?

My 13 year old male neutered Maine Coon cat began to urinate all around the house. On my bed, the guest bed, the blankets on the floor or whatever happens to fall down that is soft. I have 2 other cats but he is used to them and he eats Science Diet Light. I have 3 cat boxes in my house. All with different litters because his previous owners declawed him so he might be sensitive to one. I will bring him to the vet this week to get him checked out but maybe there are other cats that do this. (There is also a stray cat around my house that lives in my garage, but he began that before the cat was there) Thanks.
