When my queens are in heat, there isn't much I can do to make them comfortable. I'll pat them if they want it, or just leave them alone. With my two queens, it can last from 3 to 5 days. During this time of year, they go into heat less frequently, about every 3-4 weeks as it is Winter time. In the summer it is every 1-3 weeks!
If you aren't using her to breed, get her fixed as soon as possible. Vets will usually spay a kitten by 6 months. Recently there is a new trend towards early neutering/spaying as early as 8 weeks, though not all vets do this. Talk to your vet to see what he/she will do.

Spay her when you can, that's the most ''comfortable'' thing you can do for her.
I have no qualms at all about spaying a cat when it is in heat. You might want to check with your vet to see if he or she feels the same way.
If they do not mate, they can stay in heat for several days but most of the time they appear to stay in about 4 to 6 days, then come in heat again in about 2.5 to 3 weeks.

I have this problem and I have yet to do something about it.
The best thing you can do is have her fixed. She will most likely be in heat for about 1 week or a bit longer. It not only affects them negatively but it's extremely annoying. Think of it as her having her period. Can sometimes be painful-OUCH!!!
Get her fixed once she is out heat right away or forever endure her loud cries and whinning.....so annoying....

To be safe, keep her inside for a week so as not to get pregnant. There is nothing you can do for her. She just needs to ride this out.
Have her neutered as soon as possible so you can help control the pet population.

Easy answer. GET HER SPAYED (fixed). Unless you want kittens running around, her nonstop meowing trying to get pregnant, blood spots all over your furniture and carpet, take her to the vet and get her fixed immediately.

Get her fixed. also before you do keep a close eye on your front door, she'll be trying to get out to get pregnant. be careful.
