Cats do sleep a lot, it is natural. Not grooming herself would be a more worrying thing, sick cats will neglect their grooming. As for the farting, have you changed her food lately? It could be that.

All cats sleep an average of 16 hours a day, especially older cats! The passing of wind could be based on it's diet. And together it could be a coincidence. If your' cat is sleeping much more than 16 hrs a day, then take it to your' vet. It never hurts to get regular check ups for your' kitty!

If its winter there, then it will not be unisual for your cat to be sleeping a lot. As to his farting a lot, I should think it has something to do with his diet. What have you been feeding him? One of my cats used to fart a lot when he was a kitten. Then I discovered he had tapeworm. I had that treated and the farting stopped.

She may have a hairball that is giving her trouble. Is she having regular bowel movements? Is she eating and drinking? If not, you probably have to take her to the vet. Sometimes hairballs get in the intestine and don't want to move and it makes the cat miserable. The vet may have to give the cat an enema. Don't do it yourself, you can hurt the cat or even kill it if you don't do it right or use the wrong enema solution.

Yes..it is possible. But it also may just be something she ate...take her to the vet if it persists and especially if she's neglecting her fluids and food.
