In my home country, there is an old superstition that cats can see or sense spirits and that they meow or stare into space when they do. Maybe you have an alien or angel visitor in your house you can't see but which your cat can? Only kidding of course. As long as your kitty does not show any signs of distress while she meows into nothing, she should be OK.

One of my cats does this all the time. Sometimes he is just lonely and looking for me or one of the other cats. Sometimes he is frisky and letting us all know he is about to have a "mad cat moment." Sometimes I think he just wants to "talk." Don't worry about your cat, you will figure it out ...or not.

My cat does this.She looks up and meows. I think it's a ghost.

my cat did this before we got her a friend. I guess it was out of boredom. If this cat is your only one, you may want to consider getting it a friend. It may just be that your cat wants someone to play with!

I'm not sure, my sits there and stares at the walls and meows, and his eyes will get real big, and then he will attack it.

it could probably mean that your cat is sad and wants u to spend more time with him/her. or maby it wants another friend so mabe buy another cat for it to play with.

If it's female...she's wanting to mate.
If it's male...it's wanting to mate.
They tend to give out a meeow and rub alot around
