My half grown kitty Sammyson just had surgery on his eyes, making him blind. The vet says I have to clean his eyes 3 to 4 times a day with a wash cloth by dabbing it on his eyes, and then I have to put some antibiotic cream all over the stitches and the eyes - but he won't stay still, he keeps backing out of my hold on him and I don't wanna grab the scruff because it pulls on the skin around his eyes - he naturally doesn't want me messing with his eyes, but I have to, or they will get infected all over again. My hubby gets mad and holds him too tight when I ask him to help me, which further terrifies the baby. How can I hold him still by myself? Help?

I love cats and really want to have one in my apartment, but I live on the 11th floor and am worried that the cat will fall off the balcony. Of course I'd try to keep the balcony door closed, but if it ever did run out there, would a cat jump off accidentally, or would it sense its height?
Does anybody have experience wtih cats in an apartment with a balcony? I have only had cats in a private house before.

It's really weird that she is acting like this. I have looked online on ear hematoma but none of the sypmtoms include low crouching and weak walking. We have to feed her by hand because she won't go to her bowl and we have to place her on the cat litter so that she can do her business. I am really worried about her. Can someone PLEASE help me?

Okay, I have a black and white cat at home, and he is 8 yrs. old, and always acts like a kitten. He does very weird things, and my older cat is very laid back & normal. My friend also has a 7-year-old black and white cat, she also does strange things. Does anyone have any idea why black and white cats usually act like this?

I have 2 male cats. 1 neutered and 1 w/ everything intact. Right now they are separated. Seems 1 got his tail caught in a door and headed under a bed to sulk. The other decided to see what was up and the fur started flying. WTF? They have never fought before. They would groom and sleep w/ each other. Now I can't keep them in the same room. What do I do? Get the other fixed?

Should I be worried about him getting an infection. It scares me cause the cat uses the litter box and Im just worried the cat could give him an infection or something.I put antibiotic ointment on the scratch.
I should also add that its not my cat..if it was it would have been declawed a long time ago.

Our new neighbors cat is coming to ours for food and now to just hang out. She had kittens recently and is a nice little thing. We tried scaring her off but she wasnt bothered. We rang the nieghbors who comfirmed what we`d thought, that she had kittens recently. Shes so hungry and I`m guessing we buy better quality cat food for our cat than they get for her. (they said shes eating a tin of food a day since she had litter). Its very hot and summery so we dont want to shut all the windows and doors to keep her out.
Do you think we just accept her bring about and let her have some xtra food (i hate the idea of her or her kittens being hungry - shes only a small thing herself). Its not my cat to feed, but if shes not getting enough then maybe its good to give her some extra? Will this mean she is always at ours even after her kittens are big?
What should we do?
She`s very determined.
