I have 2 male cats. 1 neutered and 1 w/ everything intact. Right now they are separated. Seems 1 got his tail caught in a door and headed under a bed to sulk. The other decided to see what was up and the fur started flying. WTF? They have never fought before. They would groom and sleep w/ each other. Now I can't keep them in the same room. What do I do? Get the other fixed?

Yes get the other one fixed and sometimes when an accident happens, even a broken vase they will start to fight, it's almost like they both expect to get into trouble for it. May the cat is confused now about why his tail was hurt also his tail could be broken and he doesn't want the cat near it have him checked right away. The fighting wil stop once you take the unfixed cat to the vet. The separation may even do it. But if his tail is broken or hurt badly he will pick fights until he feels better, so you need to have him checked right away. Good luck.

I don'tthink thats why he lashed out at the other kitty it sounds to me that he got his pride hurt and then lashed out at the other kitty for not leaveing him alone or he could be thinking that may be the other kitty is to blame for his hurt and discomfort . and yes you should have him neutered.give them some time to work it out if they don't then you may have to slowly reintroduce them to eachother while you are in the same room with them
