They can...it depends on how "cat-like" they truly are, lol.
Often times, when a cat is sick or upset about something, they will poop on furniture or on the rug. It's their little way of letting you know they care...

Depends on the cat and what provoked it. Cats certainly can display aggressive behavior - I had one cat that scratched up a phone book that was laying out on the floor and would tend to scratch things up when angry. When I was young I had 2 cats, they didn't always get along and would tend to hiss at each other and sometimes pounce. Sometimes cats will deliberately ignore you if they are miffed at you for instance if you have been gone on vacation or had to kennel them for a week or 2. Some cats, especially kittens, will bite if you play too rough with them. If a cat sprays, it is more likely because he feels his territory is threatened than because he is angry. Early neutering (before a cat learns to spray) can sometimes prevent spraying behavior altogether. I have seen one cat spray when he was angry though, he was my late grandmothers cat, and he sprayed the door when I wouldn't let him outside.

I guess it would be in the eye of the beholder. When my ex would get nasty with my cat he would have to remember to put his shoes away where the cat could not get them, otherwise the cat would use one of them for a litter box (it wasn't the yellow stuff). It would be a minimum of three and maximum of four days before the cat would forget he needed to "get even." I personally didn't think it was a bad thing as my ex clearly provoked the incidentS.

Yes. When my oldest cat gets in trouble, especially when she gets chided for begging (with a squirt gun or a flick of the nose), she immediately beats up the other cats. She growls at them and swats them and gnaws on them. It's kind of amusing, but at the same time, it's completely inappropriate anger.

And when her "mom" (my aunt) left for 2 months, she ignored her completely when she came back. She even popped her in the nose when my aunt tried to pick her up. She's quite a little diva.

I have always been told that cats will pee on your clothes or your other things if they are angry with you.

Absolutely.
I have a Burmese, when ever I anger her by taking her to the Vet or forget to keep her food bowl completely full, she tears my house plants apart. Good thing we don't go to the Vet more than once a year and I never forget to keep her food bowl completely full.

well, there are people who say that their cat "gets mad' at them, and does things to "punish" their owner, for example, if the owner has been gone for a long time.
