We hadn't fed the kitten any milk - but my niece's grandma brought it a can of cat milk on saturday and fed it to him. Only since then has he been sick.

For as crazy as it sounds cats shouldnt been drinking milk for too long. Go to the store and find the Iams best formula there, they have food for different ages and types of cats . Is not good if hes not eating.Take him to the vet too he might have parasites, before you loose him.

Okay, out around my home, we once took in a stray cat and fed it milk. The next morning it looked dead as a doorknob. Now thankfully my grandma healed it by setting it down on a heating pad. Anyway, I think whenever cats get old enough, they just can't take on milk. You might want to start feeding it kitten chow. As an alternative, you could take the kitten to the vet. I hope your cat heals up alright.

Ok... kittens DO need milk. But you need to go to Tractor Supply or any feed store ( i think walmart may even have it) and get a milk supplement for kittens who have lost their mothers. It has colustrum (sp?) in it and has ALL the nutrients it needs. Regular milk that humans drink is almost like water to them. Also, you might want to call the vet and let them know the situation and they can give you better advice than anyone on this board.

Call your vet and ask them. I've used that cat milk before with my kittens and had no problem...they loved it. Best bet is to call the vet and see what you should do...

That doesn't sound good. Take the little one to the vet: There might have been something wrong with the milk.

Good luck!
